Marantz Professional PMD-602A Interface Enables Use Of Mics, Audio Devices With DSLR Cameras And Field Recorders

Marantz Professional, leading manufacturer of sophisticated recording/playback solutions for critical A/V users, today announced the introduction of their PMD-602A portable battery-powered 2-channel audio interface. Leading innovator of professional AV playback and recording solutions introduces 2-channel battery- operated interface that connects mics and line-level audio with portable equipment.

Recognizing an unfulfilled need in the market for a small, east-to-use device that enables quick, seamless connection of mics and line-level audio equipment to DSLR cameras and field recording equipment, Marantz Professional’s PMD-602A is a compact, lightweight solution that solves the problem quickly and simply.

Professional features include XLR combo inputs with selectable 12V or 48V phantom power for condenser microphones, mic or line-level input sensitivity selector with two-stage gain control, a 3.5mm stereo line input, and limiting to ensure gain matching. The line output master makes it possible to correctly feed any camera or recorder line input while monitoring through the headphone output. The PMD-602A also has a 1/4" x 20 mounting bracket on the top for the attachment of a camera, and a tripod socket on the bottom of the unit for added flexibility.
