At Prolight+Sound 2018, Yamaha launched the DZR and DXS-XLF series of powered loudspeakers - a new, accessible class of fully-integrated, ‘smart’ units with flagship specifications and features, including Dante audio networking. With passive counterparts - the CZR and CXS-XLF series - also being launched and the company’s latest digital mixing innovations on show, Yamaha’s presence at ProLight+Sound was not to be missed.

The exceptional flexibility and great sound of Yamaha loudspeakers has long been the choice of live bands, DJs, presentations and corporate functions in small-to-medium sized venues, as well as houses of worship, clubs and other installations. Delivering exceptional audio quality and best-in-class power, the new, four-model DZR series features Yamaha’s latest developments in loudspeaker, DSP, Class-D amplification and cabinet design.

In addition, each model also has an identical ‘D-version’ counterpart, which features onboard Dante audio networking. When used with Yamaha CL/QL/TF series digital mixing consoles and/or networked audio products, the Dante-fitted models deliver a cutting edge networking and control solution for both portable and permanent audio systems. DZR range loudspeakers deliver stunning bass, but the new DXS-XLF 18˝ and 15˝ subwoofers are the perfect complement for really getting to the bottom end of things, with Cardioid Mode available for use with multi-sub applications.

The new CZR and CXS-XLF range has also been introduced for applications where passive loudspeakers are preferred, delivering high power handling and outstanding sonic performance in a rugged-yet-portable design. Like the powered versions, these passive models are suitable for a wide range of live performance and installed sound environments. For further information on the new loudspeakers, please see the more detailed press releases within this press pack.

Yamaha will also be highlighting the new RIVAGE PM7 digital mixing system and other new innovations, including the updated R series Dante I/O racks, Version 2 firmware for RIVAGE PM10 (which brings the latest facilities to the entire RIVAGE PM family) and flexible StageMix and ProVisionaire control apps.  ProLight+Sound took place at Frankfurt Messe from 10th-13th April. Yamaha exhibited on Stand E50, Hall 3.1 alongside high end touring loudspeaker manufacturer Nexo, together forming a truly full-scope industry supplier.

Yamaha also had an extensive presence at Musikmesse, which took place at Frankfurt Messe from 11th - 14th April. Exhibiting in the Portalhaus, mixing consoles, loudspeakers, monitors, portable PA systems - including the new STAGEPAS BT series - and Line 6 wireless microphone solutions were on show, alongside many other products from Yamaha, Line 6 and Steinberg.
