SERAPID Singapore PTE LTD in Southeast Asia, established in 2018, has a new Managing Director: Mr. Degenkolb. As Managing Director, Robert DEGENKOLB will oversee general business operations and day-to-day management of the company.
He is joined by Ivan SEIGNEUR who will look after technical management and integration of all SERAPID products. Robert and Ivan will work closely with Yu Rong CHEN who manages SERAPID’s China business activities from Shanghai.
What are the objectives for this geographical area?
Based in the Central Business District, the Singapore company will focus on business activities in Asia-Pacific including East Asia, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and India.
In what way is the service improved and what advantages are incorporated with the new location?
We are the latest company in the SERAPID Group and have been established to broaden our presence and support in the Indo-Asia / Asia-Pacific market. The office will provide support for existing local SERAPID projects including the National Stadium and The Star Theatre, as well as oversee SERAPID’s growth and business development in the region. The Singapore location will also directly support the satellite office in Shanghai which covers markets in Theatre, Industry, Automotive, and Energy.
Our enhanced presence in the Southeast Asia market allows us to respond quickly to customer needs, capture emerging opportunities and establish business relationships with the support of our global network.

What type of facility, product or service is in great demand in Singapore? What is the directly covered geographical area? Why was Singapore chosen?
Singapore was selected for its strategic geographical location, world class infrastructure, and outward-looking open economy. Singapore is also known for its progressive reputation in the high technology industrial sectors as well as its participation in the World Trade Organization’s protection of intellectual property.
Which installations would you highlight as the most eye-catching, due to their complexity and technical solution?
The Singapore National Stadium (aka “SportsHub”) When the Singapore authorities set about designing a new national stadium the vision was for a multi-purpose stadium that could host a multitude events from football and to athletics meets or and concerts. The objective of the building is to meet the needs of of multiple events, which includes moving the spectators closer to the event when the athletic track is not in use. This helps to maximise the venue seating and optimise the financial return on the venue investment. SERAPID provided a high capacity, long travel lift that moves horizontally around the circumference of the venue, the function of the lift is to reposition the support of the seating stalls during horizontal movement.

SERAPID Singapore Pte Ltd is a member of the SERAPID Group of companies which is lead from our headquarters in France. As with the U.K., German, and U.S. entities, we regularly communicate and collaborate with our colleagues in developing and improving business ideas and approaches.
