Xilica at ISE Amsterdam

Canadian audio manufacture Xilica had a booth again this year at the ISE show in Amsterdam.

Xilica manufactures software-based digital processors and control products for the professional audio industry – for both the integration as well as live performance categories.

International Sales Manager Barry Steinburg commented  says that “ISE is an important show for Xilica and we will increase the size of our booth for ISE 2018. Participating in this show is easier for us than most trade shows because our Xilica Europe office is here in Amsterdam. This office provides our European distributors and customers with product distribution, technical training and support, and product warranty services and is managed by audio industry veteran Henk Boonstra. Xilica has offices in Canada, Europe, and Asia and all of our products are designed and engineered at our head office in Canada.

Other than a prototype of a new ¼ rack sized, 16 channel, modular processor being released later this year, Xilica did not introduce any available new products at the ISE show this year but demonstrated their Neutrino, Uno, and X- Series processors; their SolaroConsole universal DSP software; Rio Series Dante interface devices; their wired, programmable, networked Touch 7 and Mini wall controls, and their free SolaroControl app for iOS and Android wireless control devices.

Mr. Steinburg continued: “2017 is a very important year for Xilica. We hired marketing firm JK+A from the UK last year and our ISE 2017 booth benefited from the improved impact of their new booth graphics and the introduction of our new logo; we are busy working to complete our re-branding which includes a brand new web site; expanding our SolaroConsole DSP software’s ability to provide universal Dante configuration (configure any Dante enabled product brand on the market from within our SolaroConsole DSP software); completing two brand new modular based digital processors built on a Linux platform that will be introduced at Infocomm 2017; and the release of what could be our most important product feature in the history of the company —Universal Protocol Control— which is our software’s third and most important universal component”.

“Once completed, universal protocol control will allow our DSP users to control most other product brands included in a project design from within our DSP software using a simple drag & drop configuration and without having to know anything whatsoever about third party control protocols - as we have done all that work for them. In fact, the Powersoft amplifier that was on display in our ISE booth was being completely controlled from within our DSP software. So our universal control work is well underway and we just added 12 Yamaha and 4 Atterotech product models to our expanding list of product brands we are already able to control from within our DSP software. But we expect to continue this work and make a formal announcement at the end of the year once we have a substantial list of products brands under control that best represents our ability to accommodate many or most product brands in a project system design. So a very exciting year for Xilica and our supporters”.
