The Congress AVIXA will focus its program on the link between the IT and AV industries

The congress will focus its program on the link between the IT and AV industries and the potential of working as a team to offer better solutions to users.

AVIXA (the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association) will present a new edition of its Congreso AVIXA, the virtual event for the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking professionals, April 26 to April 29.

In this edition of Congreso, titled IT + AV: Optimizing Solutions and Results, AVIXA will open the conversation on the importance of joint work between IT and AV professionals, current challenges, obstacles to overcome, business opportunities, and the possibility of offering new experiences and solutions that meet the needs of users. Free registration is available at congreso.avixa.org.

AV systems and information technologies coexist in almost any solution that we can imagine. And this has forced AV professionals to update themselves on IT topics. In contrast, their IT colleagues have learned about AV solutions as they fall under their responsibility. Bringing these two worlds closer is increasingly necessary, so we decided to focus the next congress on the relationship between professionals and companies in the IT and AV sectors, explains Rodrigo Casassus Coke, CTS, Senior Director of Development for Latin America and the Caribbean, AVIXA.

Congreso AVIXA 2022 participants will have access to a program with more than 20 sessions given by industry experts who will address different angles of the relationship between the AV and the IT worlds. The agenda also includes conferences on unified communications, conferencing and collaboration, cybersecurity, AVoIP, and the presentation of case studies, such as the hybrid model of higher education at the University of Chile.

The keynote will be given by Gary Hall, CTS-D, CTS-I, Senior Director U.S. Public Sector Strategy, Operations & Market Access, at Cisco Systems. Hall's participation has tremendous significance since he is a technological expert who lives in both industries. Along with his work at Cisco Systems, Hall was president of the AVIXA Board of Directors (2017-18).

In addition, the evolution of IT consumer behavior will be analyzed, and the discussion on the definition of AV and IT strategies will be opened. AVIXA members will receive a direct invitation to participate in the forum. Those who are not members but are interested in participating can write a message for the AVIXA team to attend to their requests.

The event will launch a new virtual platform. The participants will have greater visibility and interaction tools, both with colleagues and company representatives. In addition to the live streaming of the conferences and panel discussions, the platform will offer recordings of all sessions on an on-demand basis that will be available for 30 days after the event ends.

To keep the conversation alive and expand the relationships generated during the congress, AVIXA will invite all participants to join the AVIXA Xchange. This is a new virtual space in which they will find exclusive content, business opportunities, and connections with professionals worldwide in the style of a professional social network.

In addition, those who participate in at least three full live sessions will receive digital recognitions generated by the company Acreditta, a specialist in digital badge solutions for skills recognition and education accreditation.
