Powersoft’s exclusive distributor in Argentina has just launched a new product through its STS brand: the Msub, a subwoofer equipped with the innovative M-Force linear magnetic motor.
After witnessing product launches from several American and European brands using Powersoft’s M-Force technology, it is finally time for Latin America, and by the hand of none other than Equaphon, a company that has been manufacturing active and passive sound systems for the last 20 years through its STS brand with own production lines in Argentina.
The new Msub presentation was done during recent CAPER trade show, which was carried out from October 26th to 28th at the Centro Costa Salguero exhibition center in Buenos Aires, where it was possible not only to see the system on Equaphon’s booth but also in action in an outdoor demo as part of the trade show.
This year for the fast time, and encouraged by an initiative presented mainly by Equaphon, CAPER’s organizers assembled an outdoor structure in Centro Costa Salguero’s parking lot to do demonstrations of different sound systems from national and international brands that participated with stands on the show floor at the same time.
Without the slightest doubt, the Msub highlighted in the show because of its big power and clear sound. "The result was amazing. Professional visitors were stunned when listening to the Msub at the demo and then they came to the booth to take a closer look and find out more details. I can say, and I know I won’t be wrong, that the Msub was the biggest attraction of the show! At Powersoft, we are proud of the result and the huge job Equaphon has been doing, which clearly highlights the enormous capacity and potential Latin American companies have," said Gilberto Morejón, Powersoft’s Sales Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Carlos Maiocchi, Equaphon’s General Manager, added: "We are very proud of being the first Latin American company in using Powersoft's M-Force technology. It is a huge challenge but we have good expectations because we know the Msub is a product that will be leading this segment of the market in a short time. We are done with the times when you needed to carry hundreds of subs to a show!".
At the same time, the company announced the possibility of this device being the first of a product line using Powersoft’s M-Force technology. “We are sure that this is something new for the market today, but we believe that this same market will demand something else from us including this technology too in the future. Of course, it is our job to listen what the market needs,” Maiocchi concluded.
The Msub is a high performance self-powered subwoofer based on Powersoft's M-Force technology, which has a revolutionary electro-magnetic motor with moving magnet that allows a wide linear excursion range and minimizes thermal compression, providing many advantages to sound systems. It was designed to achieve a high sound pressure level in the lowest frequency range and it is possible to configure cardioid setups to control dispersion and adapt it to different situations.
Its main application is as a subwoofer system for high power settings in big venues, outdoor setups or spaces requiring a high sound pressure level in very low frequencies. It can also be used as a complement for conventional sound systems (Infra Sub), to improve full systems performance or for using only one sub-low.
Like every STS system, the Msub can be controlled through Powersoft’s Armonía Pro Audio Suite control software. This subwoofer’s cabinet is made of wood equipped with several estructural supports and coated with a special paint based on high resistance black polyuria.
