In this video interview recorded during ISE 2026, ETC outlines its main innovations in automated luminaires and LED technology, as well as its lighting control strategy for the professional entertainment sector.
The first part of the conversation features ETC’s Product Manager for automated lighting, who presents the new Lonestar Prime, a fully featured framing luminaire in a compact format with an IP54 rating, designed for both indoor and outdoor applications. He highlights its high performance level, output, ease of maintenance, and suitability for demanding environments.
Within the same context, he also highlights the new GigaPix and MegaPix, both IP54-rated and aimed at touring, rental, and applications where robustness and reliability are critical. In the effects category, he introduces the DataFlash, a high-impact strobe designed for tours, television, and live productions seeking maximum stage presence in a compact format.
Beyond product launches, the executive emphasizes the factors that lighting designers value today: color quality and consistency, precision, repeatability, low noise levels, touring reliability, and protection against environmental conditions. He notes that in an increasingly demanding market, luminaires must deliver balanced performance across all these parameters.
The interview continues with Sarah Clausen, Senior Product Manager at ETC and responsible for the Hog family of lighting consoles, who discusses the positioning of the Hog system within the entertainment sector. She explains that the platform is designed for environments where programming and rehearsal time is limited — such as tours, festivals, or music events — and where designers require operational speed without sacrificing creative control.
Clausen also shares her perspective on the evolution of lighting control: as LED luminaires become more complex and versatile, control systems must simplify to enable professionals to manage that complexity in an intuitive and efficient way.
In the conventional LED lighting segment, ETC also showcases solutions such as Source 4WRD (LED retrofit for Source Four), the ColorSource range — including the ColorSource Fresnel V MAX and the ColorSource PAR V Zoom — and the Source Four LED Series 3 Lustr X8, highlighting improvements in light quality, optical performance, and versatility for theatrical, architectural, retail, educational, and house of worship applications.
