Audio Sud is a company that stands out for being competitive on pricing and, at the same time, achieving the highest performance levels. The firm, with its brands Hortus Audio and TAG, can provide a more customized and personalized approach with distributors than big pro-audio firms.
Featuring technical support, solid warrantees and after sales services, the company delivers a one-stop shop for delivering the professionalized audio solutions that matter most to their customers.
In its eighth year under Audio Sud, Hortus Audio continues to expand its manufacturing prowess to sell its comprehensive range of high performance speakers (both amplified and passive versions) to clients around the world.
Hortus Audio also specializes in developing and selling its own high quality sound cabinets, amplifiers, controllers, processors, and line arrays. Its pro-audio products integrate innovative features and accessories such as adjustable wall brackets, telescopic supports, wall mounts and flight cases.
TAG has been an industry leader in the audiovisual business since 1996. With expertise in developing portable battery powered PA sound systems and wireless conference lecterns, TAG also produces audio equipment for underwater loudspeakers as well as distribution amplifiers and pre amp mixers. Its product lines integrate key features such as modules, receivers, transmitters, microphones, trolleys, and flight cases.
In this interview, we talk with Francis Laspina, Founder and General Manager of Audio Sud, about Audio Sud's products, prospects for international growth and differentiation.
Dear Francis, nice to meet you. To begin with, in which areas are these products commercialized?
The Hortus Audio product lines meet the acoustic needs of auditoriums, concerts, clubs, hotels, restaurants, stadiums, theatres, among other public and private facilities.
TAG products are well-suited for a variety of pro-audio settings including aquatic parks, conferences, museums, sports clubs, swimming pools, universities, video presentations, among other public and private facilities.

How does the company sell its products in Spain and other countries?
In Spain and in a variety of countries across five continents, both Hortus Audio’s and TAG’s export team generates sales primarily via trade shows, phone calls, business development and client recommendations.
"Currently, both Hortus Audio and TAG are seeking to expand into the Spanish as well as other European/international markets"
Hortus Audio and TAG are the innovative manufacturing arms of their parent company, Audio Sud, which distributes a wide range of made in Spain audio products across France from its headquarters in Montpellier, France.
What are the brands’ prospects for international growth?
Currently, both Hortus Audio and TAG are implementing multiple strategies to sell their product lines throughout Europe while further expanding on the global level. For more information such as receiving each brand’s 2019 catalogue and export price list, we would like to invite you to contact the Export Sales Manager, Daniel Morrison, as well as consult and/or follow Hortus Audio’s latest updates and pictures on Facebook and Instagram.

What makes Hortus Audio and TAG different from your competitors? Why should a distributor or a dealer choose Audio Sud?
From concept and design to manufacturing and assembly, Hortus Audio and TAG create their own product lines. Under Audio Sud, both of the made in France brands continue to develop innovative R&D policies led by professionally qualified technicians and acoustic engineers. They make their cabinets and sound systems themselves with high calibre electronic components and quality assured wood, which Audio Sud sources locally and regionally.
"Hortus Audio and TAG representatives can offer a more tailored approach to customers than big pro-audio firms in the sound reinforcement industry"
From outdoor and indoor applications to very positive customer feedback, Hortus Audio and TAG installations are wide-ranging and represent among the best in-class acoustics in the pro-audio industry.
