Clear-Com has launched Mentrix Flex at NAB Show New York 2026, a hybrid intercom panel that combines physical controls with a touchscreen in a compact design for broadcast, live events and OB workflows.
Mentrix is aimed at broadcast, racing, theatre, OB trucks and live events. The panel features 16 keysets, combining eight physical lever keys with either eight or 16 rotary keys, alongside touch controls, so operators can adapt controls and layouts as roles, shows and workflows change.
We wanted to develop a solution that gives operators the flexibility to adapt to changing production demands while maintaining the speed and reliability they expect from Clear-Com, said Dave Mackinnon, vice president of product management at Clear-Com.

Simpler installation
Mentrix supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), removing the need for a separate power supply and reducing cable clutter, and standard VESA mounting allows it to be fitted on monitor arms, walls or custom workstations.
With Mentrix, we set out to balance the immediacy of physical controls with the flexibility of a touchscreen in a compact, thoughtfully designed panel. The goal is to give users the controls they need, where they need them, said Frank Linton, product manager for Mentrix at Clear-Com.
More than a keypanel
Beyond keypanel functions, Mentrix supports widgets and visual tools that expand what the operator sees without an additional display, with integrated USB connectivity, a dynamic display and rotary controls. Mentrix Flex supports Audio over IP (AoIP) for networked intercom workflows.

Mentrix is a new product line that complements Clear-Com’s V-Series rather than replacing it. Mentrix Flex is the first model, with further panel concepts planned.
