110 companies, eight halls, 12 live stages. With rising numbers and at the pace of increasingly international business, yesterday the third edition of Music Inside Rimini, organized by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) was inaugurated at Rimini expo centre.
At the ribbon cutting ceremony, participants included Palma Costi, Emilia Romagna Regional Councillor for manufacturing activities, Rimini Municipal Councillor for Schools and Relationship with the Territory Mattia Morolli and IEG president Lorenzo Cagnoni.
Councillor Costi said, “The industries taking part in MIR represent a great asset for development and future growth. In the region there are 30,000 enterprises and 70,000 workers, and we are constructing more space for them, because they represent the future. Emilia-Romagna believes in this sector – it is sufficient to consider that we are the first Italian region to have passed a law on the music sector. So MIR represents the perfect combination of technology and creativity: in fact, this is what is meant by ‘Made in Italy’.”
“This is a growing market”, continued councillor Morolli, "which asks a fundamental question: what’s behind an emotion? MIR answers this question, physically representing and sharing what leads to the creation of an emotion. And Rimini is the city of emotions par excellence, the place where they’re realized.”

President Cagnoni concluded, “If it’s true that three is the perfect number, this edition of Music Inside Rimini promises to reconfirm and outdo the success of the first two. Italian Exhibition Group has decided to give the expo new lymph and the figures are comforting: 20% more exhibit space and positive expectations for the participation of trade visitors and buffs, based on the high number of advance registrations.”
There are numerous new products being exhibited, showing the sector’s vitality, consisting in high technology and exceptional performance. Among them, the world’s first “transparent LED” for natural illumination, European and Italian previews of broadcast cameras and follow spots using artificial intelligence, as well as real shows with a spectacular combination of visual art, laser projector technology, 3D mapping, 4K professional cameras and robotic systems.
Therefore, at the expo until Tuesday 8th May, the absolute key player is the entire music product chain, which for b2b and b2expert visitors as well as buffs, is featured in four macro areas (Light&Sound, Professional Video, Integrated Systems and Music & DJ Producer), by means of a format that is 100% Made in Italy, combining the pro market and shows, an exciting original formula that is already a reference point at national and international level.
