The goal of the 4th edition will soon be reached, because success wasn’t long in coming. Music Inside Rimini (MIR), an event in Europe dedicated entirely to innovation and technology lighting, audio, video and rigging that enables attendees to test technology from leading companies in live conditions.
The Show is returning with a new edition that must absolutely not be missed, from 5th to 7th May, at Rimini Expo Centre (Italy), for all the professional entertainment sector’s trade members. This year, the exclusive innovative format, conceived by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), will offer all visitors the possibility of seeing technological innovations in four macro focus areas: Lighting, Sound & Visuals, Integrated Systems, Live Broadcast Production and Music DJ production.
Among this edition’s most important new features, there is the outstanding new format of LiveYouPlay, 100% Made in Italy, which brings together professional sector and live shows and has already also become a reference point abroad.
The presence will be pervasive and featured in 4 halls divided into 3 spheres of musical entertainment: the rock world, with 2 halls in which it will be possible to test audio components via live shows, virtual shows and virtual checks for a demonstration of the operation of video, lighting and special effects equipment; theatre, which enters the expo for the first time, with an entire hall dedicating space to dance and musical performances by important theatrical companies; the world of DJing in the fourth hall will on the other hand be reserved for performances and DJ sets by famous artistes in this sector, including DJ Aladyn.
The sector’s key players including Adam Hall, Audio Effetti, Bose, Canon, Clay Paky, DTS Lighting, Exhibo, Epson, ETC, FBT, Highlite, Nexo, Link, Litec, Monacor, Panasonic, Pioneer Deejay, Proel, RCF, RM Multimedia, SGM, Più 39, Sisme, Sony Europe, Texim, Tre Ti, Wave&Co and Yamaha Music Europe will take part and ensure the high technical and professional value of the solutions on show.

The thousands of buffs and industry members (the previous edition reported a 20% increase in attendance, setting a record of over 12,000), will be welcomed by a series of side events and workshops such as Lighting Designer @ Work with Jo Campana, Giovanni Pinna and Mamo Pozzoli, professionals who have worked with artistes of the calibre of Vasco Rossi, Ligabue, Gianna Nannini and Cesare Cremonini.
So the 4th edition of Music Inside Rimini will therefore also be full of new features as far as training is concerned: a new area dedicated to the broadcast sector will host a workshop on the use of drone technology - devices that enable the aerial coverage of concerts and show – along with three days of meetings on the topic of 360° Virtual Reality.
There will also be the IntegrAlive section, dedicated to integrated systems and equipped with products and solutions able to reproduce real conditions and environments for the application of technology.
