The front loading tower FT5023LS and the top loading tower TK6422LS with LoadSense® made their UK debut at PLASA.
FANTEK highlighted the importance of safety at PLASA 2024 (stand C17) by showcasing two new lifting towers that incorporated LoadSense®, the company’s new and innovative load sensor.
Designed to keep users informed about the amount of load they were handling on their towers, LoadSense® promised to significantly reduce instances of overloading, which was a common issue in the industry. It also ensured that all FANTEK towers equipped with LoadSense® complied with the EN17206-2 standard, which established the need for an overload warning system on lifting towers.
Developed and patented by FANTEK's engineering team, LoadSense® was a completely mechanical system that required no electronic components. This unique feature ensured that LoadSense® was available for use 100% of the time, eliminating any potential electronic failure that could compromise safety.
At PLASA 2024, FANTEK showcased the front loading tower FT5023LS and the top loading tower TK6422LS, which made their UK debut.
With a maximum height of 4.98 meters, the FT5023LS could lift 235 kg in mechanism mode and 455 kg in structural mode. The LoadSense® system not only ensured that this tower met the EN-17206-2 standard but also, thanks to its Dynamic Overlap system, ensured that forces were correctly distributed across the profiles, thereby increasing strength and reducing bending.
The FANTEK TK6422LS was a telescopic lifting tower designed to lift vertical loads of up to 225 kg to a maximum height of 6.4 meters. It was made up of five extendable steel profiles raised by a high-strength steel cable. The tower section was secured at the working height with an automatic steel safety pin, and the legs were equipped with non-slip rubber bases. The entire system was controlled by a dual-handle manual winch.
