Avolites planned the UK debut of the Diamond 7 (D7), the newest addition to the Diamond collection of consoles, at that year's London PLASA Show at stand C28 within the Robe Village. Two variants, D7-330 and D7-215.
Positioned as the ultimate travel and performance consoles, which could be packed in a standard Peli Air case and checked in as hold luggage to fly anywhere, they were on the Avolites stand for demonstration to industry professionals.
Other equipment available for demonstration at the stand included our flagship lighting control console, the Diamond 9, with both variants D9-330 and D9-215, along with the T3 and T3-W, our smallest professional lighting control product, where portability, compactness, and performance were crucial.
Additionally, our reliable and well-known ‘Essential Collection’ of Sapphire Touch, Arena, Tiger Touch II, and Quartz consoles, which offered great performance and were a popular choice for the cost-conscious looking to get the most bang for their buck. Our powerful "Production Grade" Q-series media server range was also present with the Q3, demonstrating our Synergy feature (which brought lighting and video together, offering creative programmers a streamlined workflow for all the visual elements on their stage). Our long-standing software platforms, Titan, Ai, and the newest media software platform Prism, designed for lighting designers, powered all our hardware products and were demonstrated in an eight-seater theatre-style demo area on our stand. All our hardware was ably supported by our networking products Titan Net Switch (TNS) and Titan Net Processor (TNP).
Also making its debut at that year's PLASA Show was the latest version of Prism. Prism One, following the introduction of Prism Player and Prism Zero, was an important milestone in the development of this application suite, designed primarily for lighting designers. Key features in this version of Prism One included: added preview window, crossfade on a layer, hardware decode acceleration for H.264/H.265, control over multiple banks and layers, live input and NDI input, added virtual return, and region of interest on outputs. Together with Synergy, we added control to surface and layers, NDI previews, crossfade duration, and speed control. As well as updates to improve playback performance on AiM, NotchLC, and HAP media.
Prism was Avolites’ software application suite for video previewing, adjusting, and encoding for Ai. Designed with a modern interface, specifically for lighting designers, so users felt the familiarity that made it easy to use. It was part of our ecosystem approach to lighting and video integration, and now had a fast-growing base of users.
