After two successful editions of Stage Set Scenery, at Messe Berlin a change is taking place at the helm of Stage Set Scenery: Patricia Pohle is taking over from Juliane Trempler as project manager. Patricia Pohle has already supervised trade shows and event productions at Messe Berlin over the past 12 years, including the PANORAMA Fashion Fair and FESPA. “I look forward to continuing the successful work of my predecessor Juliane Trempler. I know several of the exhibitors at Stage Set Scenery from working together during the organisation of many trade fairs and guest events, which I regard as a great practical advantage.” She will be assisted by experienced colleagues, Sarah Baumann and Joshu Samuels (formerly Ahmed).
From 18 to 20 June 2019 the international trade show and conference for theatre, film and event technology will be taking place on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. The event is co-organised by Deutsche Theatertechnische Gesellschaft (DTHG) and Messe Berlin. Wesko Rohde, president of DTHG: “We look forward to continuing our successful work together with Patricia Pohle. At the Stage Technology Conference in Dresden we already had interesting conversations on the future of Stage Set Scenery, and I am confident that we can carry over the positive mood that has made this trade show among the most attractive on the world stage. By combining a trade show, information events and discussions, Stage Set Scenery has broken new ground, and not only in the event industry. Looking ahead, I am very optimistic. I would like to expressly thank Juliane Trempler, who together with DTHG and her team was instrumental in developing this trade show.”
Next year at Stage Set Scenery, the focus will again be on an exchange of views among practitioners. Visitors can expect a wide-ranging programme of events and a host of interactive formats, including round tables, panel discussions and workshops.

Once again, the LightLab will be devoting itself to topics concerning lighting, projection and networks. It will be curated by Manfred “Ollie” Olma of mo2 design, an internationally renowned lighting designer. At the SoundLab, away from the bustle of the show, trade visitors can experience the sound of state- of-the-art audio systems. Next year, taking as its slogan ʼUp in the airʼ, the Safety in Action will focus on stage rigging equipment, drone cameras and working under suspended loads.
In addition, to a wide-ranging programme of conference events trade visitors at the show can find out about numerous new products, including stage equipment, drive and contrl systems, architecture and planning, lighting, acoustics, sound, video and media technology as well as studio technology. Companies representing event services, safety systems, decoration and furnishings, make-up and costumes as well as museum and event technology will also be displaying their products and services.
