Hamilton Brings Alcons To Broadway

Based on the life of Alexander Hamilton, of the USA’s founding fathers, Hamilton - An American Musical is enjoying enormous commercial and critical success on Broadway, being the hottest ticket in decades. The show has already earned the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2016 Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album, but is also nominated for no less than 16 Tony awards.
Formed in 1999, Sound & Light Professionals (SNL Pro) Mumbai has become one of the largest growing and most respected sound reinforcement companies in India. It provides state-of-the-art equipment for sound, lighting, video and staging, and technical services to the broadest range of entertainment disciplines across India and the rest of the world. The company has recently invested in a DiGiCo SD10 and two D2-Racks, via DiGiCo’s Indian distributor, Hi-Tech Audio Systems Pvt. Ltd.
While Hollywood star Steve Martin and singer/songwriter Edie Brickell might seem an unlikely pairing to write a musical, their shared love of bluegrass music resulted in Bright Star, a story of love and loss in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Delicate reproduction of the bluegrass score was vital to the show’s success, which is why sound designer Nevin Steinberg chose an Alcons pro-ribbon sound system.
He’d be at Lito’s Place, working on ADR sessions for his action film, ‘Fury’ (Columbia Pictures) of course. Just as actress Cote de Pablo was, for post-production of Antonias Banderas’ forthcoming movie ‘The 33’ (Phoenix Pictures). These are just two of the projects that have been keeping studio owner Manolito Galea (Lito) busy over the past few months, neatly coinciding with the addition of more Audient gear to the studio that bears his name.
