KLOTZ has introduced the EDX6HMF, a six-channel HDX power distribution box designed for live productions and temporary installations where reliability and operational safety are essential.
Low-profile multipin connection
The EDX6HMF features two Harting HAN 16ES connectors, in male and female configurations. They are side-mounted and feature lockable metal coupling housings that prevent accidental disconnection, even under demanding conditions.
This arrangement allows cables to run close to the floor, for example when using the compatible KLOTZ EMC6HMFT Energy Multicore power cable. This keeps the centre of gravity low, helping the box remain stable and preventing it from moving during a performance.
Six protected outlets, up to 16 A
The top of the housing features six power outlets, available with either Type F (Schuko) or Type E (French-Belgian standard) sockets.
Hinged covers protect the outlets against dust and splashing water, providing an IP54 protection rating when not in use.
With a rating of up to 16 A at 250 V, the unit can also supply power to high-power equipment.
Designed for touring and live productions
The 1.5 mm aluminium housing combines low weight with durability, while a matt black powder coating provides additional protection.
An integrated M10 thread allows the unit to be attached to a mounting structure, a pre-punched eyelet provides an attachment point for a safety cable, and non-slip rubber feet help keep it stable on stage.
Manufactured and tested in Germany
Every EDX6HMF is manufactured at the KLOTZ AIS facility in Vilchband/Wittighausen, Germany, and undergoes inspection at the company's in-house end-of-line (EOL) test station before delivery.
Tests include checking for open circuits, reversed polarity and short circuits, as well as measuring protective conductor resistance and insulation resistance in accordance with DIN VDE 0701 and VDE 0702 standards.
