Powersoft and K-array jointly participated in InnoTrans 2026. Both brands shared an exhibition space focused on their respective ranges of audio solutions for the transport sector.
Powersoft ENEA PAVA: sound quality and safety in a single platform
One of Powersoft's main highlights was its new ENEA PAVA system, a voice alarm platform certified to the European EN 54-16 standard, which establishes the requirements for Voice Alarm Control and Indication Equipment.
While many voice alarm systems are developed primarily to meet this certification, with audio quality taking a secondary role, ENEA has been designed to deliver both.
The system provides high-fidelity sound reproduction for both background music and everyday announcements, while also enabling certified emergency voice alarm messages to be delivered from the same platform.
It is also compatible with Powersoft's AnyMATE™ technology, which enables remote monitoring of each loudspeaker and signal path, making it easier to identify faults without the need for on-site inspections.
ENEA is particularly suitable for stations and transport hubs where space is limited and ease of installation and maintenance is a key consideration.
K-array showcased its solutions for stations, platforms and transport environments
For its part, K-array focused its participation on solutions designed for stations, platforms and other transport environments, featuring different loudspeaker ranges and processing systems tailored to the requirements of each installation.
The WALL series consists of wall-mounted line array loudspeakers designed for stations and concourses. They incorporate 70V/100V transformers that provide wide, controlled horizontal coverage, with a discreet architectural design suitable for enclosed public spaces.
The POLE range is intended for outdoor installations. Its pole-mounted loudspeakers, with an IP66 protection rating, have been developed for platforms and other areas exposed to environmental conditions, delivering high speech intelligibility while limiting unwanted acoustic spill.
The HORN series comprises a range of horn-loaded loudspeakers designed for long-distance, high-power voice reproduction, particularly in acoustically demanding environments such as tunnels.
Finally, the Prisma digital matrix is a processing and control platform that combines DSP, audio routing and amplification with Dante connectivity, providing operators with centralised control and configuration of the entire system.
Integration of Powersoft and K-array technologies
The joint presentation planned for InnoTrans 2026 also included a demonstration of K-array's POLE822TG loudspeaker with Powersoft's AnyMATE™ technology integrated, designed to show how the two companies' technologies can work together.
This integration combines K-array's audio reproduction solutions with Powersoft's remote monitoring capabilities, making it easier to detect potential issues affecting loudspeakers and signal paths.
Francesco Maffei, Global Sales Director at K-array, highlighted the specific requirements of audio installations in the transport sector:
We recognise that transportation environments demand more than just sound. They require communication that is clear, reliable and consistent. Our solutions for the transport sector are designed to meet these specific challenges, combining intelligibility, seamless integration, network connectivity and long-term reliability to create audio infrastructures that keep people informed and spaces connected.
Meanwhile, Luca Giorgi, Sales and New Business Development Director at Powersoft, explained ENEA's features and its application in these types of installations:
Transport environments place significant demands on audio systems. They must not only deliver certified life-safety performance, but also sound quality capable of withstanding challenging indoor and outdoor conditions and everyday use. ENEA is designed so that operators do not have to choose between playing background music and routine announcements or providing a certified voice alarm system, as it integrates these functions into a single platform.
Regarding the joint participation of the two companies, Giorgi also commented ahead of the event: "Sharing a stand with K-array at InnoTrans allows us to showcase this technology alongside their transport solutions, with each company presenting its own areas of expertise. We look forward to using the exhibition as an opportunity to meet existing customers and connect with potential new customers in the transport sector".
The joint participation of Powersoft and K-array at InnoTrans 2026 focused on audio solutions aimed at improving speech intelligibility, system monitoring and the integration of sound and safety technologies in transport infrastructure.
