ETC announces the addition of the HPU+ to the Hog hardware range. This new and improved hybrid processor can function either as a rack-mounted console or as a DMX processor connected to another Hog family console.
Its simplified mechanical design makes the HPU+ easier to service and more robust for touring applications. The rear-panel connections have been updated to align with the latest Hog consoles and include etherCON connectors, opticalCON Duo fibre-optic connectivity, a built-in LTC/SMPTE connection and a TRUE1 TOP power input.
The HPU+ brings the power of a Hog console to spaces that do not require a permanently installed physical control surface, such as cruise ships and theme parks. At the same time, the HPU+ can expand existing Hog systems with an additional 64 universes of control. It is a powerful tool, says Tania Lesage, Market Manager at ETC.
Although the original HPU units will be discontinued, they will continue to operate and receive software updates.
Like the other products in the Hog family, the HPU+ comes with a five-year warranty. Original HPU units purchased in 2026 are also covered by this warranty.
