Elation unveiled a range of new lighting tools at the PLASA exhibition. Attendees were among the first in the United Kingdom to see the latest innovative cutting-edge luminaires from the company designed to enhance the live entertainment experience.
Highlights of the market-leading Proteus IP65 series included the new Proteus Radius™, a high-intensity beam effects device with a solid-state phosphor-converted light engine, and Proteus Odeon™, a profile framing device with a fully variable CRI LED engine, an industry first. Visitors were also among the first to see the Proteus Hybrid MAX™, a compact IP65 hybrid fixture and an enhanced version of Elation's innovative Proteus Hybrid.
The new Fuze Teatro™ was also on display, featuring fully automated framing without a fan for completely silent operation and the industry's first fanless automated fixture with an additive color engine. New fixtures in the KL "Key Light" series included the KL CYC™, a cyclorama/set/wall wash device, along with the KL Profile FC™ and KL Spot IP™, all-in-one ellipsoidals. Proteus Radius™: Proteus Radius is a compact IP65-rated high-intensity beam effects device. It utilizes an efficient 100W solid-state phosphor-converted light engine, projecting narrow and intense beams with incredible power over long distances. The solid-state phosphor-converted light engine delivers an ultra-intense 0.9˚ beam that cuts through with unmatched brilliance, captivating visuals, and a lasting impression, even across vast distances. 360-degree movement on both axes allows for striking beam animations, while CMY color mixing, gobos, prisms, and frost enable the designer to compose an endless variety of stunning aerial effects.
Proteus Odeon™: Proteus Odeon features the industry's first fully variable CRI LED engine. The variable CRI system allows for custom selection of the best combination of light output and color accuracy, continuously adjustable from CRI 70 to CRI 93. As CRI adapts, color temperature remains stable, ensuring precise color representation and visual quality. With adjustable CRI from a single fixture, Odeon can not only adapt to a wide range of applications but also eliminates the need for multiple light variants to achieve accurate color representation. A first-in-the-industry innovation in color control and performance, this IP65-rated profile framing device is also packed with design features.
Proteus Hybrid MAX™: Proteus Hybrid MAX is a compact IP65 hybrid fixture that seamlessly combines high output with extended lamp life. This enhanced big brother of Elation's innovative Proteus Hybrid features the innovative Philips MSD Platinum FLEX 500 lamp, with a power of 550W and a lamp life of up to 4,000 hours. The fixture incorporates CMY and CTO linear color correction, along with a wide range of projection and effects options. Emitting 22,000 brilliant lumens through its wide 170mm front aperture, the Proteus Hybrid MAX produces intense beams, precise gobos, and vibrant washes, making it adaptable for nearly any application, all while delivering a remarkable return on investment.
Fuze Teatro: Fuze Teatro is designed for any application requiring a fully automated and silent framing device, with exceptional and convincing color range and quality. The fixture operates completely silently in noise-sensitive environments as it does not have a fan. It contains a 480W RGBMA LED array with a CRI of 91 and an output of over 15,000 lumens. Two rotating gobo wheels, an animation wheel, double frost, prism, and iris complete its comprehensive set of features.
KL CYC: KL CYC is an ideal LED lighting solution for cyclorama, set, and soft and uniform wall wash applications. With an RGBMA color system, it uses a carefully designed asymmetric reflector design to achieve perfect blends while covering significant heights with ease. It is also an ideal option for floor-mounted lighting positions, providing excellent versatility for use in stages, cinema, television, and events. Seamless magnetic alignment, a simple mounting bracket, and elegant power and data management make KL CYC easy to integrate.
KL Profile FC: KL Profile FC is a manual ellipsoidal framing device with a 305W RGBMA LED engine designed for a wide range of precision lighting applications. With a zoom range of 7 to 50 degrees, the fixture does not require additional lens tubes, reducing costs and complexity while providing excellent flexibility for any theater or performance venue. It includes a 16-bit rotating gobo slot and a full blackout framing system, with a Fresnel wash conversion kit available as an option. Output exceeds 10,000 lumens.
KL Spot IP™: The KL Spot IP™, with an IP65 rating, is a fully automated static ellipsoidal device with zoom and is the perfect complement to the KL Profile FC™. With a zoom range of 7 to 50 degrees, the fixture does not require additional lens tubes, reducing costs and complexity while providing excellent flexibility for any venue. Color quality and color manipulation are key for the KL Spot IP, and a full set of features ensures many design options.
