Sennheiser focuses on Spectera and RF management at LEaT con 2026

Sennheiser will focus its presence at LEaT con 2026 on the Spectera broadband wireless system and the RF planning and management tools from its partner SoundBase.

The event will provide an opportunity to discover the Spectera SKM digital handheld transmitter, which began shipping on 10 September.

With the SKM, the ecosystem adds a handheld option alongside the SEK bodypack transmitter for live sound, theatre and broadcast applications. Its continuous bidirectional connection to the base station enables monitoring of battery status, RF power, audio levels, signal strength and link quality, while also allowing parameters such as gain and the low-cut filter to be adjusted remotely.

Sennheiser Spectera SKM 1 HIAudio, control and monitoring data use the same broadband RF channel, eliminating the need for a separate control network for this communication. For technical teams, this architecture brings transmitter monitoring and configuration together within the system itself.

Shared data for technical teams

SoundBase will present its manufacturer-independent RF planning and management application, which already supports Spectera and its Command function. The Remote View tool allows live monitoring data to be shared with other members of a production team without installing the application on multiple devices. According to the company, operation with a single licence reduces duplicate queries and the load on the control network.

The agenda also includes a panel on the future of the 470 to 694 MHz band. Dr Andreas Wilzeck will participate on behalf of APWPT, with Peter Kaminski moderating the session. The discussion adds a radio spectrum perspective to the event's exploration of wireless solutions.
