LDI 2026 will feature a programme aimed at professionals working in technology, design and the production of live shows and events. Registration remains open for access to the exhibition area and participation in its various training programmes.
The next edition will combine an extensive exhibition area with the LDInnovation Conference and LDInstitute courses, as well as a range of activities designed to facilitate interaction among attending professionals.
Technology for different areas of production
The exhibition area will feature hundreds of exhibitors and cover a range of disciplines related to technical production. These include lighting, audio, staging, rigging, video, networking, automation, lasers and special effects.
The format will allow attendees to explore and test new equipment and technologies, as well as put questions directly to manufacturers and developers about their products and their application in production or design projects.
This combination of disciplines means the event is aimed at a wide range of professional profiles. LDI highlights lighting designers, programmers, stage managers, riggers, audio engineers, video professionals and production managers, among others, as well as manufacturers, students, educators and other professionals working in entertainment technology.
LDInnovation Conference and LDInstitute
Training will centre around two of the event's main programmes: LDInnovation Conference and LDInstitute.
The LDInnovation Conference will bring together professionals involved in some of the world's leading tours, venues, festivals, broadcast productions and live experiences. Its sessions will focus on sharing knowledge and experience from across these different areas of the industry.
LDInstitute, meanwhile, will offer dedicated courses that allow attendees to spend part of the day in training before visiting the exhibition area. In this way, the event offers the opportunity to combine learning techniques and methodologies with direct access to the tools and equipment presented by exhibitors.
The courses require registration and, according to LDI, places and different pass types are being booked as the event approaches.
Activities beyond the exhibition area
LDI 2026 will also include networking activities outside exhibition hours. Among the announced events is Dining with Dinosaurs, one of the social activities included in the event programme.
These gatherings will complement the daytime activities and bring together professionals working across different areas of the same production, from design and programming to rigging, audio, video and technical management.
With eight weeks to go until LDI 2026 opens, registration remains open for both the event and its training programmes. The organisers have set 16 October as the deadline for Early Bird rates before prices increase.
