The second edition of AVL SUMMIT by AFIAL enters its final day today, October 8, at La Nave in Madrid, following yesterday's opening with a programme aimed at manufacturers, distributors, integrators, technicians and other professionals from the audio, lighting and audiovisual technology sectors.
The scheduled activities address technical aspects of audiovisual production, ranging from networking and radio frequency systems to sound capture and the organisation of major events. The programme also includes first-hand accounts from professionals involved in different productions.
A programme focused on audiovisual technology
The organisers have provided a 6,000 m² exhibition area, six rooms for training activities and an auditorium with a capacity of 600 people. These spaces host the technical sessions and presentations scheduled over the two days.

The exhibition features solutions related to professional audio, lighting, video and audiovisual integration. The training activities, meanwhile, address aspects of the day-to-day work of technicians, designers, operators and integrators, both in fixed installations and live productions.
The programme covers control networks, radio frequency, sound capture and the technical planning of live shows, alongside experiences drawn from specific productions.
Lighting networks, radio frequency and production case studies
The first day, held on Wednesday, October 7, included sessions dedicated to networking for lighting systems and the future of radio frequency in stage applications.
Both subjects are part of the technical requirements of many contemporary productions. Networks are involved in data distribution and the control of lighting equipment, while radio frequency management affects the operation of wireless systems used at concerts, shows and other events.
The programme also explored different audiovisual production experiences, including the sound reinforcement for the Pope's visit to Madrid and the production of La Velada. These case studies formed part of the sessions dedicated to large-scale projects and productions.

The programme continues on Thursday
Further technical sessions and demonstrations are scheduled for today. Announced topics include audio capture in MotoGP, alongside training activities on professional sound systems and content related to lighting and stage video.
Sound capture in motorsport presents different working conditions from those encountered at a musical performance or in a fixed installation. Its inclusion in the programme extends the scope of the sessions beyond stages and event venues.
The lighting and video activities complete a programme covering different technical specialisations within audiovisual production.
Manufacturers and distributors at the exhibition
Participating companies include Audio-Technica, Midwich, Stonex and Acson, alongside other businesses involved in professional audiovisual equipment.
