Panasonic Connect Europe will supply state-of-the-art AV solutions, including professional broadcast equipment, laser projectors, and professional displays, for the 2024 Paris Olympics, taking place in France from July 26th to August 12th, and the 2024 Paris Paralympics, scheduled from August 28th to September 8th.
As a Worldwide Olympic Partner, Worldwide Paralympic Partner, and founding member of The Olympic Partner (TOP) Program, Panasonic will closely collaborate with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Paris Olympic Organizing Committee, and Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) to provide strong support for the event's activities.
In line with the goal of making Paris 2024 an increasingly sustainable event, Panasonic offers innovative solutions to address the current labor shortage in the industry and the challenges posed by sophisticated visual expression.
The Panasonic KAIROS IT/IP platform will provide video content to the large LED screens at almost all competition venues (26 in total), simplifying complex workflows and streamlining operations by producing content for up to three venues via a single KAIROS server. In addition, remote cameras will be installed in the 29 press rooms. Furthermore, by consolidating simultaneous interpretation at the Main Press Centre (MPC), translation services can be provided remotely from various locations, reducing the need for travel. These solutions will enhance operational efficiency, addressing hardware and software aspects compared to previous events.

Panasonic plans to install 130 laser projectors at the competition venues of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, marking the largest deployment of projectors in its history. Among them is the world's smallest and lightest projector, which is 40% smaller than previous models. Thanks to Panasonic's projection technology, which saves labor, resource allocation for transportation, storage, and installation is reduced, lowering the event's carbon footprint. Additionally, the company's newly introduced Remotely Managed Service will enable operators to manage and monitor large-scale multiprojection systems via the cloud and resolve potential image misalignments caused by factors such as vibrations without needing to be present on-site. Together, these innovations will contribute to the event's sustainability purpose.
Panasonic has been providing audiovisual equipment and services to the Olympic and Paralympic Games for over 30 years, starting with the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games. Additionally, in October 2014, it made history as the first Japanese company to become a Worldwide Paralympic Partner of the International Paralympic Committee, contributing to peace and development in the international community, as well as promoting adapted and Paralympic sports.
With the vision of Sharing the Passion, Panasonic helps convey the spectacle, tension, and excitement of elite athletic competition to people around the world through its sponsorship activities.
Panasonic wholeheartedly supports the mission of the Paralympic Games to foster an inclusive society for people with disabilities, elevating adapted sports. They remain dedicated to creating products and services for everyone, including seniors and those with disabilities.
