Astera introduces a new configuration for its QuikBeam, a luminaire that has created a new category of uplighting fixtures thanks to its extremely compact and lightweight design, making it an ideal solution for both live events and film productions.
The new 8-Unit QuikCase Kit includes 8 QuikBeam luminaires, 8 PowerFlow AC power modules with integrated daisy-chain capability, 16 swappable QuikBrick batteries and 2 ChargingDocks for battery charging, all stored in a single compact QuikCase that is exactly the same size as the existing 4-Unit PrepCase Kit.
In essence, it provides everything needed to light a studio, event, venue, room or any environment, with all components neatly organised and protected, ready to operate in either wired or wireless mode. It is an ideal solution for small and medium-sized events, live broadcasts and corporate productions, designed to maximise workflow efficiency.

The new 8-Unit QuikCase Kit joins the existing 4-Unit PrepCase Kit, which includes all accessories and remote preparation functionality, as well as the 2-Unit BackPack Kit, an ultra-compact solution ideally suited for owner-operators.
The 8-Unit QuikCase is also available as a standalone empty case, allowing companies and professionals who already own the kit or the film, television and video-specific 4-Unit PrepCase Kits to reorganise their luminaires into a higher-capacity package.
Astera unveiled the QuikBeam luminaire at ISE, and since then it has received numerous awards for its innovation and engineering excellence. These include the TVB Europe Best of Show Award at ISE 2026, the SLU (SoundLightUp) Award for Innovation 2026, the TVB Europe Best of Show Award at NAB 2026, the AVTechnology Best of Show Award at InfoComm 2026 and the ProHub Awards for Excellence 2026.
These accolades highlight QuikBeam's remarkable versatility, having been recognised by some of the most respected publications and trade shows serving the live events, broadcast, AV integration and film industries.
QuikBeam is a rapidly deployable single-source Fresnel fixture featuring a 13° to 60° QuikTurn zoom, swappable QuikBrick batteries, plug-and-play operation, all the performance and exceptional colour quality of the Titan LED Engine, together with the innovative OutputGain feature.
Following QuikBeam's successful launch, user feedback led to the development of the new 8-Unit QuikCase Kit.
The QuikCase philosophy, based around PowerFlow power supplies and QuikBrick batteries, is particularly well suited to applications where turnaround times between shows or productions are extremely tight.
At the rental warehouse, discharged QuikBrick batteries can simply be replaced with fully charged ones inside the 8-Unit QuikCase Kit, ensuring the entire system is ready for the next job while maximising the return on investment (ROI) of battery-powered luminaires.
The QuikBeam power compartment can accommodate either a QuikBrick battery or a PowerFlow AC power module.
PowerFlow is a wired power supply capable of powering either a single luminaire or an entire chain of QuikBeams from a single cable run, reducing the number of circuits required, cabling and installation time for large-scale or power-limited setups. Multiple units can operate at full output throughout the day from a single 16-amp circuit, ensuring continuous maximum performance while enabling simple daisy-chaining. All of this is achieved using industry-standard IP65-rated AC power cables. The 8-Unit QuikCase Kit includes 8 PowerFlow modules.
Meanwhile, QuikBrick is a hot-swappable battery designed for wireless operation, rechargeable via PoE, ChargingDock or USB-C. Native PoE support also provides additional wired connectivity and direct Ethernet integration through sACN and Art-Net. The 8-Unit QuikCase Kit includes 16 QuikBrick batteries.
When powered via AC or configured for its maximum wireless runtime (1 hour and 20 minutes at full output), QuikBeam delivers greater brightness than the popular Astera AX5 TriplePAR while occupying significantly less space, incorporating cutting-edge technology and additional features at a fraction of the price.
On site, the 8 QuikBeams, whether operated in wired or wireless mode, can create impressive lighting for shows and events while also performing exceptionally well as compact spotlight fixtures for film productions.
With just one or two easily transportable 8-Unit QuikCase Kits, event venues, corporate spaces or buildings can be transformed quickly, elegantly and with minimal effort.
