MAVEN is part of DirectOut's Audio Solution Model (ASM) and extends the portfolio of intelligent hardware platforms towards smaller solutions. This allows users to extend their systems with additional functionalities, control protocols, and add-ons to create a customized solution tailored to their specific requirements.
The MAVEN.A system, housed in a compact 1RU chassis, offers a capacity of up to 400 x 402 audio channels and a set of features adaptable to meet the evolving needs of today's audio applications. Sharing the same hardware modules as the PRODIGY series, MAVEN.A positions itself as a bridge between entry-level audio systems and flagship systems.
This intelligent platform features a powerful FPGA plus processor and can grow or change according to the requirements of individual applications. For example, users can populate the main frame with modules as needed and select licenses to run the application, with licenses available at a granular level to add only the portion needed at the time.
In terms of connectivity and redundancy, MAVEN offers bidirectional sample rate conversion, automatic input management for up to 32 input managers, and EARS™ (Enhanced Automatic Redundancy Switching) for automatic failover from a complete input port to a backup port.
The control of all these features is managed by Globcon, a tool that manages all DirectOut devices over a network, whether on Mac or PC, and is complemented by a local touch display that provides an overview and basic control. Additionally, third-party control protocols are offered as options, including Ember+, OSC, SNMP, and JSON-API.
