Bose Professional has announced the launch of the DesignMax Luna DML88P, a new full-range pendant loudspeaker that combines an eight-driver Ring Array™ design with an integrated 8-inch woofer.
The system is designed to deliver high fidelity and uniform coverage in open-ceiling environments, while maintaining a refined aesthetic and an installation-focused design for professional applications.
DesignMax Luna is aimed at spaces where sound performance and visual integration are equally important: retail stores, restaurants, gyms, offices, or venues with exposed ceilings where recessed solutions are not viable.
With a balanced profile and concealed cabling, the system can be suspended from one or two points, simplifying installation and ensuring a clean finish from any angle.
At the heart of Luna is Bose’s patented Ring Array configuration, which features eight precisely positioned 2-inch mid-high drivers arranged around a central 8-inch woofer. This architecture delivers wide and consistent coverage without hotspots or dropouts in sound pressure, while maintaining a balanced response down to 40 Hz. As a result, external subwoofers are not required, even in large spaces or venues with high ceilings.
The loudspeaker reaches a maximum SPL of 111 dB and offers 140° coverage, enabling large areas to be covered with fewer units, reducing both installation costs and visual impact. The result is coherent, natural sound throughout the space, with clear reproduction of speech and background music.
