The new DiGiCo Quantum225 DS arrives with dual screens and key improvements for festivals and live sound

Over the past five years, the Quantum225 from DiGiCo has proven itself as a powerful, versatile, and cost-effective tool for live music venues, tours, festivals, theatres, houses of worship, and many other applications. Now, this compact mixing console evolves with the introduction of the Quantum225 DS.

Featuring two integrated screens that provide expanded capabilities for users, this latest addition to the Quantum range represents a robust, festival-ready console at a competitive price.

While the standard Quantum225 features a bracket on the left panel to accommodate a channel or overview screen, KLANG:kontroller, or a laptop, the Quantum225 DS is equipped with two 17-inch, full-color, daylight-bright TFT multitouch screens to enhance workflow functionality and control.

The addition of DiGiCo’s optional Pulse software package increases the power and versatility of the new Quantum225 DS, raising the number of input channels to 96 (from 72), the number of busses to 48 (from 36), and the Mustard and Nodal processors to 36 and 48 respectively (from 24 and 32). Mix Minus is also included in the console’s Pulse feature set, and the desk can be further enhanced with the manufacturer’s optional T software package, designed for theatre-specific applications. In addition, an upgrade option is available for existing Quantum225 consoles for users who want to increase their functionality and performance.

Following the principle of ‘give the people what they want’, we are now responding to the many requests we have received to offer a dual-screen version of our compact Quantum225, and we have evolved it to achieve maximum performance. For customers who already own a Q225, we are also offering a hardware upgrade solution that will allow them to bring their consoles up to the Quantum225 DS specification, expanding the capabilities and return on investment of their existing equipment. As always, purchasing a DiGiCo once again proves to be a smart investment, says Austin Freshwater, Managing Director of DiGiCo.

Ideal for festivals and fast-paced live environments, the Quantum225 DS features 41 mini TFT screens distributed across its surface, providing unprecedented interaction and feedback. It also includes a 12x12 Matrix, four MADI ports and two DMI ports for enhanced connectivity, 8x8 analog local I/O and four AES channels, built-in UB MADI, optional optics, integration with Fourier Audio and Waves SoundGrid, as well as dual power supply.
