PLASA has partnered with LIVE Green to launch its 2026 Sustainability Survey, an initiative examining awareness, attitudes and actions relating to sustainability and carbon emissions reduction across the entertainment and event technology sector.
The survey examines the industry's progress towards sustainability and net zero emissions in live events, with particular emphasis on professionals' priorities, the measures organisations are already implementing and the factors driving this transformation. The findings will be published in a publicly accessible report in January 2027.
Responses are anonymous, and the survey will remain open until 18 November 2026. It is aimed at all professionals working in the live events sector, from equipment manufacturers and rental companies to production teams and freelance technicians.
Ross Patel, LIVE Green impact consultant at LIVE, comments:
We are proud to collaborate with PLASA on its annual industry sustainability survey. We want to make it easier for everyone working in the live music industry to engage in climate action by providing the support, resources and guidance they need. This survey will give our sector a clear picture of the progress made and help identify and address the barriers preventing faster action.
Meanwhile, Phoebe Currie, sustainability consultant at PLASA, explains:
This survey will provide us with a comprehensive overview of where our industry stands on sustainability: the attitudes shaping professionals' thinking, the actions being taken across the supply chain and the achievements we can continue to build upon. From manufacturers and rental companies to production teams and freelance technicians, everyone working in live events has a role to play in reducing our environmental impact.
