Astera’s new QuikBeam luminaire, unveiled at ISE 2026, was also awarded a Best of Show prize during the event. The recognition was granted within the TVBEurope category, which highlights innovative, standout broadcast-grade AV products and solutions showcased at the Barcelona exhibition venue.
The ISE Best of Show Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts and editorial teams. Each submission is reviewed based on the product’s feature set, ease of use, level of innovation, and uniqueness within the market.
Renowned for its ingenuity and creativity, Astera launched QuikBeam as a new member of its ‘QuikFamily’. The luminaire has been designed and engineered to deliver maximum intensity in the smallest, lightest, and most robust form factor possible.
Suitable for any lighting scenario, QuikBeam stands in a class of its own: an extremely bright, rapidly deployable Fresnel fixture with a 13º to 60º zoom, swappable batteries, plug-and-play functionality, and all the performance, perfect colour mixing, quality, and high CRI/TLCI of Astera’s renowned Titan LED Engine.
QuikBeam offers exceptional flexibility and portability thanks to several new smart features introduced by Astera’s R&D team, including QuikBrick, a replaceable and swappable battery system that eliminates waiting time for fixtures to charge.
PoE (Power over Ethernet) connectivity via EtherCON enables streamlined installations with combined power and data over a single cable, with runs of up to 100 metres, ideal for remote setups and sACN/ArtNet control for shows and events.
The versatile zoom with an ultra-narrow beam, called HotBeam, delivers clean, highly defined beams, ideal for precise uplighting, accenting, or highlighting features and set pieces.
The ISE Awards editorial team said they were impressed by the excellence and scope of this year’s entries, adding that being recognised as Best of Show at ISE is a true testament to the work and dedication that winning companies have invested in their products and solutions. “Every winner should be truly proud of their achievements”, they concluded.
Astera’s Chief Sales Officer, Sebastian Bückle, stated that winning the award represents a fantastic start for this new luminaire, underlining the passion and ingenuity of our R&D team and everyone who has contributed to the design of this product, which is highly practical, versatile, and invaluable for any professional.
QuikBeam has been developed following an extensive feedback-gathering process involving lighting designers, DoPs, technicians, installers, rental companies — where fast turnarounds are essential — and venues, bringing new levels of flexibility and workflow efficiency to any professional lighting setup.
