The MEET 2024 (Messe für Eventtechnik und Theater), held on November 6 and 7 at the Messe Wien venue in Vienna, solidified its position as one of the most prominent international events for the applied technology industry in theater and events.
This biennial event brought together over 80 exhibitors, offering a unique platform where technological innovation merged with art to transform stage and production experiences.
Among the participating companies, the Walters-Storyk Design Group (WSDG) stood out for its expertise in architectural acoustic consulting and multimedia systems design. WSDG showcased its expertise at its booth and contributed to the event’s educational program with a specialized conference addressing the latest trends in acoustics and immersive technologies for modern theaters.
MEET 2024 was not only a showcase of the latest innovations in technology for events and theater but also a space for exchanging ideas among theater managers, event organizers, and industry professionals. Dirk Noy, partner and director of Applied Science and Engineering at WSDG, delivered a conference titled Room Acoustics and Electroacoustics in Theater Construction: Immersive Audio Experiences for Modern Stages, where he explained the key principles of room acoustics and how immersive audio technologies can enhance the theatrical experience.
