COrental expands its dry hire fleet with Elation’s Paragon series

COrental, based in Germany, is expanding its dry hire portfolio with the Paragon series from Elation Professional, broadening its range of high-performance and highly versatile LED profile spotlights.

With this acquisition, which includes the Paragon S and M models and a planned expansion to the LT model later this year, the company is responding to the growing demand for robust systems across a variety of production environments.

Focus on light quality and versatility

COrental took a closer look at the Paragon series during a visit to Elation’s European headquarters in Kerkrade (Netherlands) in December 2025. Niklas Wegner of COrental explains: "My first impression focused on the light quality: the combination of high output with a very clean and well-balanced white light was convincing from the very first moment".

Designed for dry hire with broad rental appeal

As part of the decision-making process, COrental compared these fixtures with others on the market. In the dry hire business, the most important factors are the system’s versatility and reliability in daily operation, and this is where COrental sees Paragon’s strengths.

For us as a dry hire provider, it is essential that a fixture covers as many applications as possible while remaining reliable and cost-effective. The Paragon series meets these requirements: high flexibility thanks to interchangeable lenses, robust and weather-resistant construction, and light quality that is highly востребован in the broadcast, touring, and trade show sectors, explains Wegner.

One of its main advantages is its versatility. Thanks to interchangeable optics, the fixtures can be easily adapted to different needs: from precise projections as a profile spotlight to soft, even washes using Fresnel optics, or directional lighting with PC optics. This flexibility makes them suitable for a wide range of applications, from touring and television to trade shows.

TruTone, output and IP54 working together

Wegner states that the investment decision was based on the combination of several key features. “Ultimately, it was the complete package: the light quality thanks to the TruTone variable CRI engine, the high output, and the flexibility provided by interchangeable lenses. Combined with the IP54 rating, this results in a highly practical fixture that can be used reliably both indoors and in more demanding conditions”.

Partnership, a key factor

In addition to Paragon’s technical features, COrental’s existing relationship with Elation and its German distributor LMP played a key role.

Our previous experience with Elation, as well as the close and reliable cooperation with LMP, were important factors. Especially in the dry hire business, aspects such as availability, support, and spare parts supply are crucial, and we have had very positive experiences with these partners over the years, says Niklas Wegner.

COrental presents Paragon in Hilden

COrental presented the Paragon series at the Paragon Experience event, held on April 16–17 at its facility in Hilden (Germany).

The event showcased the Paragon S, M, and LT models alongside comparable competitor fixtures under real-world conditions. Throughout the day, attendees took part in live demonstrations, hands-on testing, and in-depth discussions with product specialists.
