RCF and DirectOut have announced a strategic technology partnership aimed at developing increasingly integrated professional audio solutions, strengthening connectivity, signal management and audio networking capabilities within RCF’s professional systems ecosystem.
The agreement will enable RCF to leverage DirectOut’s extensive expertise in audio-over-IP (AoIP) technologies, format conversion, signal processing, synchronisation and high-availability redundant architectures—areas in which the German company has established itself as a leading international reference for live sound, broadcast, fixed installations and mission-critical environments.
The collaboration aims to develop deeply integrated solutions within RCF platforms, facilitating interoperability between systems, simplifying the design of complex infrastructures and providing higher levels of operational reliability for integrators, system designers and rental companies.
At a time when the convergence of audio networking, system control and signal management is becoming increasingly important, the partnership will combine RCF’s expertise in professional loudspeaker systems, power electronics and installed sound solutions with DirectOut’s specialised knowledge of audio transport protocols, signal distribution and advanced redundancy.
Among the technologies developed by DirectOut are solutions for Dante, Ravenna, Milan and MADI environments, as well as platforms designed to ensure operational continuity through network redundancy systems and intelligent signal management—features particularly valued in applications where audio interruption is not an option.
Fausto Incerti, Managing Director of RCF, stated:
DirectOut’s technologies and engineering approach complement our system design philosophy. This collaboration will allow us to further strengthen our offerings by integrating networked audio and signal management solutions that have been thoroughly proven in the professional market. Over recent years, DirectOut has established itself as a benchmark in this field, bringing significant value to the solutions we provide to our customers.
For his part, Luca Giaroli, CEO of DirectOut, commented:
Our collaboration with RCF is focused on integrating DirectOut’s networked audio and signal management technologies directly into RCF system solutions. This approach allows us to contribute to the development of robust, future-ready platforms capable of delivering tangible benefits to both system designers and end users. We are proud to collaborate with a company that has such a strong international presence and a decades-long track record in the professional market.
Both companies emphasised that the partnership reflects a shared vision based on technological excellence, innovation and long-term collaboration. The goal is to provide users with more efficient, secure and easier-to-deploy solutions capable of meeting the growing demands of today’s professional environments.
