At Prolight + Sound this year, TAG showcased its newly released Cameleon conference lectern as well as their innovative Mediax series.
Powered by a 70-watt amplified battery or AC main, the wireless Cameleon conference lectern provides 1 to 5 slots for inserting optional modules such as CD, MP3, SD players or digital players/recorders. Its wireless capabilities are enabled by an integrated 19” autonomous Vigi Rack audio system. The lectern is equipped with LED lighting, 2 XLR connectors, VHF/UHF transmitters/receivers and a GM-302 microphone.
The integrated vigi rack also works on battery or AC Main. The 2.1 A/h battery has a built-in charger. The vigi rack has a 1-line output on 3M Male XLR. It provides a slot for a CD, USB, or SD player and another slot for a wireless Chiayo transmitter or receiver.
The portable battery-powered PA Mediax series features a class-D dual 250-watt sound system. It is amplified and also available as a passive annex cabinet. The 250W active output is designated for an external 8-ohm speaker. The speaker system consists of five slots: receiver module (slots 1-4); MP3 USB digital player/recorder (also compatible with slots 1-4); transmitter module (slot 2); CS/USB/SD digital player with remote control (slot 5).
With both a 10-inch low frequency and 1 inch high-frequency with cross-over speaker, the Mediax PA system has a rechargeable lead acid battery that lasts for up to 6 hours. The battery is one of two power modes, the other being a DC jack.
The Mediax series has a digital limiter in addition to voice priority. Its built-in Bluetooth receiver for streaming music is complemented by two XLR microphones. The active out (XLR) is used for multi-unit audio linking. A scan/sync button facilitates user-friendly microphone channel setup while its 3-band equalizer (bass, middle, treble) applies to all audio inputs.
