We attended the seventh edition of MIR - Live Entertainment Expo, organized by the Italian Exhibition Group. A brilliant edition that continues to grow and, at the Rimini Expo Centre, Italy's undisputed home of leisure and entertainment, focused on technology and innovation.
The event recorded exceptional attendance, far surpassing the figures from previous editions, including those held before the pandemic, achieving a 20% increase in visitors and a 25% increase in exhibitors.
With six pavilions and an expansion in the south hall of the Exhibition Centre, MIR satisfactorily met the needs of companies and an increasingly attentive and qualified audience.
Growth and Innovation
The event confirmed its leadership position in the sector by attracting the most important and interesting technological innovations in the fields of audio, video, lighting for concerts, shows, education, retail, museums, IT, and hospitality, with an additional exclusive showcase dedicated to System Integration AVC, thanks also to the consolidated collaboration with SIEC - Systems Integration Experience Community.
Indeed, the recent decision by the organizers to include technology brands not only aimed at commercial areas related to the world of entertainment but also at business and academic contexts with cutting-edge multimedia solutions, contributed to this result.

An outstanding event in terms of professionalism, clarity, and depth of the subjects discussed was the Light Design event, which featured numerous sessions dedicated to the various aspects of this industry.
'Live You Play': all booked up!
In the halls dedicated to Live You Play, the frequency of performances exceeded all expectations, with audio, video, and lighting solutions presented through real live shows. In this edition, the immersive rooms were very well received at MIR: their 13 daily sessions were completely sold out.

MIR Club: a unique experience with 700 hours of pure scratch
But the highlight of the event was MIR Club, which hosted an unprecedented format. With over 30 DJ consoles set up, hundreds of people could try out the products with the help of more than 10 professionals for a total of 700 hours of pure scratch.
For the first time, short sessions, led by young DJ and Youtuber Federico Doria, were also held at the show, allowing visitors to deepen and expand their knowledge of DJ technology. The Demolition panel, a unique opportunity for new talents to mingle with some of the best DJs in Italian history, such as Albertino, Joe T Vannelli, Big Fish, Ale Lippi, and others, was a success.
MIR - Live Entertainment Expo has proven to be a memorable event that you cannot miss in the live entertainment industry, offering a unique opportunity for discovery, networking, and growth for both professionals and enthusiasts. The next edition is scheduled for spring 2025.
