The city of Huelva hosted the Magna Mariana procession, a large-scale jubilee event that brought more than 100,000 people to its streets.
For this historic event, the technical production was handled by the Huelva-based company Proinso, which provided Meyer Sound and DiGiCo solutions to ensure uniform sound coverage along the official route.
The 24 brotherhoods followed an itinerary connecting emblematic points of the city, with special attention given to the official 600-meter route and its major challenge: providing sound reinforcement for a processional cortege in a complex urban environment.

The technical challenge of the urban route
Sound reinforcement for a processional cortege requires a distributed coverage strategy, synchronization among reinforcement points, and careful attention to urban obstacles such as building façades or traffic noise. In addition, the audience does not remain in a single location but follows the procession along the various streets of the city.
To meet these demands, the deployed system was carefully dimensioned, featuring top-tier equipment:
- 32 Meyer Sound LEOPARD units
- 20 Meyer Sound ULTRA-X40 units
- 1 DiGiCo SD9 console
- 1 SD Rack
- 2 Galileo GALAXY processors

This infrastructure made it possible to cover both the slow-paced moments and the zones with the highest audience density, ensuring that every word, prayer, or chant could be heard with clarity and balance.
Signal management and redundancy
The DiGiCo SD9 console, supported by the SD Rack, served as the heart of the central mix. Its flexibility and processing quality allowed engineers to:
- Dynamically adjust levels according to the environment (traffic, external noise).
- Manage multiple delay or reinforcement zones.
- Ensure internal redundancy to guard against potential failures.

Meanwhile, the Galileo GALAXY processors handled level control, limiting, and fine tuning at remote points, ensuring that every line of the system performed according to the original design, with no volume spikes or excessive compression.
