Located in the heart of Yerevan, KATSIN Restaurant & Dining Bar is one of the most unique and dynamic venues in the Armenian capital. Designed as a hybrid space between restaurant and club, KATSIN combines a carefully curated gastronomic offering with a vibrant atmosphere where music and dance also take center stage.
Opened in 2020, the venue stands out for its contemporary approach and a menu focused on high-quality meats and international cuisine. Its interior design blends noble materials such as wood, metal, and natural stone, creating a warm, elegant atmosphere with a distinctive character.
More than just a restaurant, KATSIN is a place created to be enjoyed without haste. From the early hours of the day until late at night, the space offers different experiences in the same setting: sophisticated dinners, cocktails, live shows, and DJ sessions that mark the liveliest moments of the day.
Quickly becoming a reference point for both locals and visitors discovering the city for the first time, KATSIN represents the new face of a capital that is evolving without losing sight of its roots.
Challenge
The main challenge of the project was to find a sound solution that could smoothly adapt to the dual nature of the space. During the day and early evening, KATSIN operates as an elegant restaurant, where the music needs to accompany discreetly without interfering with the dining experience. However, as the night progresses, the atmosphere transforms, and the music becomes the focus: the same space that hosts relaxed dinners turns into a dance area with DJ sets and live performances.
This transformation within the same space required a versatile system capable of delivering detailed and controlled sound at low volume, but also with power, impact, and even coverage during high-energy moments. Additionally, the venue’s interior design—meticulously crafted with noble materials and an elegant aesthetic—required that the speakers be discreetly integrated without disrupting the visual harmony of the environment.
All of this needed to be achieved without compromising the customer experience at any time of day and allowing
easy control by the venue’s own team.
Solution
To address the project’s various needs, a distributed sound system was designed and carefully adapted to the architecture and usage of the space. The installation combined speakers from the ARTEC and QUANTUM series, leveraging the specific advantages of each model.
The ARTEC-510 model, renowned for its reliability and performance, was used as the backbone of the system, providing uniform coverage and excellent response both during background music and more intense sound moments. Its ability to deliver clarity and punch at higher volumes made it ideal for transitions into a more festive atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the Q-23-T and Q-10A models from the QUANTUM series were integrated in different areas of the space for their compact, discreet, and elegant design. Weighing under 3 kilos and with a carefully crafted aesthetic finish, these speakers maintained the visual harmony of the venue without compromising excellent sound quality. The Q-10A subwoofers completed the system by delivering the punch needed for the DJ sets and live music that take place at night. The result was a versatile, balanced, and visually integrated installation capable of adapting to the venue’s different uses without compromising either design or sound experience.
