Benidorm Palace expands its visual possibilities with JET BEAM 120 IP, thanks to SeeSound

Benidorm Palace, one of Benidorm’s leading entertainment and live performance venues, has added new lighting solutions from PROLIGHTS to enhance the visual effects across its performance space.

The project includes 12 JET BEAM 120 IP units, a beam moving head featuring a 120 W phosphor laser source designed to produce highly intense, sharply defined beams. In this installation, the fixtures create lateral effects across the auditorium and stage, expanding the visual possibilities of the lighting during performances.

JET BEAM 120 IP: sharply defined long-distance beams

The JET BEAM 120 IP combines a 120 W phosphor laser source with 0.6° optics, designed to produce narrow, sharply defined beams and create long-distance effects. Its 7,000 K light source delivers more than 200,000 lux at 15 metres, while motorised focus maintains beam definition throughout its projection distance.

The effects system includes a wheel with 24 colour filters, 29 fixed gobos, an animation wheel, two prism systems and two frost filters, providing a range of tools for creating different textures and aerial effects.

Its IP65-rated construction and magnesium alloy chassis are designed for demanding applications, while DMX and RDM control facilitates integration with different lighting control systems.

The auditorium as an active part of the lighting design

With these fixtures, Benidorm Palace incorporates the auditorium itself as an active part of the lighting design for its shows. The lateral effects help create a visual transition between the stage and the audience while adding greater depth to the scene.

In a venue with such a diverse programme of entertainment and live performances, having tools that can alter the perception of the space enables the lighting design to be adapted to each production and creates distinct atmospheres for every show and future production.
