With the new Alp-Line XLR series, HICON presents the result of its German-Austrian joint project in connection technology: professional 3-pin XLR connectors (female: HI-X3CFA-NXT / male: HI-X3CMA-NXT) with genuine gold-plated contacts and the highest-quality finish for optimal signal transmission.
The especially robust construction in a high-quality metal housing ensures greater durability, while the elegant silky matte black finish is visually appealing and the slim, ergonomic design guarantees a comfortable feel, ideal for daily use in demanding audio, lighting, and event applications.
The special clamp design of the connectors provides reliable strain relief while also facilitating assembly. At the connector end, a flexible plastic boot with integrated bend protection effectively shields the cable from bending stress. Special feature: Thanks to its clever ribbed structure, the boot can be quickly and easily fitted without the need for additional tools.

To facilitate identification in complex cabling systems, the connector comes standard with an orange color ring; an additional black replacement ring is included for alternative coding. By the way, the connectors are supplied in eco-friendly packaging that contains no plastic.
The connectors are suitable for cables with a diameter of 3.0 to 8.0 mm. Sommer Cable has developed the highly flexible and perfectly matched DMX SC-Binary 225 cable (art. no. 510-0051), which, together with the new connectors, forms the ready-to-use 3-pin DMX-AES/EBU Alpine cable of the new BERG series.
