DAP announces the launch of DAP Frigga, a new plug-and-play column PA system designed to meet the growing demand for sophisticated and high-performance sound solutions in the modern event and entertainment sector.
The DAP Frigga, designed for singer-songwriters, corporate presentations, DJ performances, and event venues, offers unparalleled versatility and sound quality.
It features a robust amplifier with three dedicated channels for subwoofer and mid/high frequencies, delivering a maximum power output of up to 1000 W RMS and 2000 W peak. The system includes a powerful subwoofer with two 12-inch deep bass woofers that create the foundation for a rich sound experience. The top speaker is designed with six 4-inch neodymium midrange drivers arranged in a line array configuration for optimal sound dispersion and minimal distortion. At the center of this line array is a 1.5-inch neodymium tweeter, paired with a waveguide that delivers precise and crisp high frequencies, perfect for reproducing the subtle nuances of music and speech.
The DAP Frigga preamplifier is equipped with three versatile inputs to accommodate different sound sources. It includes a microphone input, a line input (both with combo XLR/jack connectors), and a Bluetooth 5.0-compatible input for seamless integration with modern devices. The Bluetooth 5.0 module supports True Wireless Stereo (TWS), allowing two DAP Frigga units to be paired wirelessly to deliver immersive Bluetooth stereo sound.
To ensure optimal sound balance, both the microphone and line inputs have separate gain controls, enabling the user to adjust sound levels independently for the perfect mix. It also features a subwoofer level control, allowing precise adjustment of the balance between the subwoofer and the mid/high column speaker. The main volume control manages the system's overall output.
The DAP Frigga, with a design that emphasizes elegance and practicality, is available in both black and white finishes. This meets the growing demand for visually appealing sound equipment, making it an ideal solution for sophisticated events such as weddings and high-end gatherings. The system also includes a cable channel on the back of the column spacer to ensure a tidy appearance.
The DAP Frigga comes with two mounting poles: one short and one tall. The tall pole is ideal when the subwoofer is placed on the floor, and the spacer is used to position the top speaker to optimize sound coverage. The short pole is perfect for setups where the subwoofer is already elevated and the spacer is not needed, such as on a stage. In this case, using the spacer and the tall pole would place the top speaker too high and compromise sound quality.
Its user-friendly design is aimed at small to medium-sized events, with integrated circuits that ensure excellent sound quality without the need for complex DSP presets. Despite its numerous features, the DAP Frigga remains compact and portable, making it easy to transport and install. Its lightweight construction does not compromise durability or sound quality, making it a reliable option for multiple venues and applications.
