Celestion introduced the Peacekeeper, a revolutionary low-sensitivity speaker with dual voice coil and attenuation technology. The Peacekeeper offers guitarists and other amplified musicians a simple and effective way to achieve the coveted "sweet spot" of their amplifiers while maintaining moderate volume levels.
The Peacekeeper was on display along with a range of key guitar and PA products from Celestion at the company's booth at NAMM 2025 (Hall C, GG02).
The Peacekeeper breaks away from the conventional limitation of large amplifiers, which typically reach their best sound at high decibel levels. This innovation addresses the challenge with its unique dual voice coil design. The Peacekeeper works seamlessly with almost any amplifier as a conventional guitar speaker, but its built-in attenuation technology significantly reduces output sensitivity. This allows musicians to push their amplifiers harder while maintaining manageable volume levels.

Key Features of the Peacekeeper
- Attenuation Technology: The Peacekeeper's innovative design effectively attenuates amplifier output compared to conventional speakers, allowing musicians to achieve their desired sound at lower volumes.
- Uncompromised Tone: Attenuation is achieved "organically" through the natural operation of the speaker, preserving the signature Celestion tone that musicians love, without adding coloration or compromising quality.
- Seamless Integration: With its 12” diameter, the Peacekeeper easily integrates into any standard cabinet, offering a hassle-free solution for volume control.
- Wide Compatibility: Offering an impedance of 8Ω and a maximum power of 50W, the Peacekeeper is suitable for a wide range of amplifiers.
- Precision Manufacturing in the UK: The Peacekeeper drivers are assembled at Celestion's speaker research and manufacturing facilities in the UK and undergo rigorous testing to meet demanding performance criteria.
Until now, many guitarists have been limited by the volume restrictions of their environment, whether to avoid disturbing someone at home or to keep the peace with neighbors. The Peacekeeper allows guitarists to unlock the true sonic potential of their amplifiers without worrying about volume, said Nigel Wood, Managing Director of Celestion.
Celestion was present at The NAMM Show, from January 23 to 25, 2025, in Hall C, Stand GG02.
