d&b audiotechnik launches DS110, the new processing engine for Soundscape

d&b audiotechnik introduces the DS110, an updated Soundscape processing engine built on the proven capabilities of the DS100, offering enhanced performance and expanded flexibility for d&b Soundscape systems.

The DS110 features upgraded processing hardware and expanded I/O capabilities. Channel capacity now includes up to 128 Dante input channels at 96 kHz, plus integrated MADI connectivity with up to 128 inputs and 64 outputs at 48 or 96 kHz, meeting the growing demands of modern productions.

The DS110 is the natural evolution of our Soundscape processing system. Thanks to the increased processing dynamic range and expanded connectivity, we have not only improved performance, but also laid the foundation for future developments within the d&b Soundscape ecosystem, explains Robb Allan, Product Management Director for d&b Soundscape at d&b audiotechnik.

The DS110 maintains full compatibility with existing Soundscape software and licenses, ensuring a seamlessly integrated transition for current users while also providing a future-ready platform for new projects.

d&b Soundscape is a complete ecosystem that combines advanced signal processing with d&b loudspeaker technology and software modules such as En-Scene and En-Space. It enables greater flexibility in system design while also providing precise control of sound objects and acoustic environments. d&b Soundscape supports a wide range of live applications, from immersive theatre productions around the world, such as the recent premiere of Paddington in London’s West End, to permanent installations in leading venues including the Perelman Performing Arts Center in New York, the East Kowloon Cultural Centre in Hong Kong, and Lumen Field Stadium in Seattle.
