VIOSO returned to ISE 2026 in Barcelona, focusing on its three key business areas: software for automatic projector alignment and LED calibration, media playback servers, and services for integration partners.
Together, these software and hardware tools offered a range of options that users could implement individually or jointly to bring their experience to life.
Software updates - Calibration:
VIOSO is recognized for its projection calibration solutions, and that year’s trade show marked the launch of VIOSO 7, the new generation of its intuitive camera-based calibration software.
VIOSO 7 offers automatic calibration for any projection setup, including domes, virtual reality (VR) environments, and complex projection mapping installations. Enhanced features include:
- An improved 3D model generator with customized preview in the Project Designer
- Edge blending for calibration contours
- Simultaneous use of projector masks and content masks
- More efficient row and column selection in the warp tool
New features in VIOSO 7 include:
- A generic web-based recalibration panel for faster adjustments
- A generic NDI calibration workflow, including a preview tool and NDI receiver
- Camera positioning workflow for improved setup control - Native compatibility with the HIVE media playback system
With this, VIOSO 7 consolidates its position as the most user-friendly calibration software with a wizard-guided workflow. In addition, VIOSO introduced a new version of ProjectionTools, its advanced protected automatic calibration solution, designed for simulation environments and the most demanding multi-camera audiovisual setups. Numerous features for the most complex installations make it the ultimate solution for any complex shape.
Software updates – Media playback:
Following its successful debut at the previous year’s ISE, VIOSO introduced EXAPLAY 3, the new generation of its media playback software.
EXAPLAY 3 is designed to meet the media playback needs of approximately 90% of audiovisual projects, offering a simple, affordable, stable, powerful, and highly versatile solution. It combines a robust, high-performance backend with a unique multi-user web interface. EXAPLAY 3 features a wide range of new functions, including:
- Support for 54-channel multichannel audio and Dante, as well as a powerful real-time shader engine. This engine enables live modification of media elements through more than 60 effects, including advanced features such as 2D mapping with dome perspective correction and viewpoint perspective correction.
- The integration of new live input sources, such as HTML and web page streaming, advanced NDI, and LTC support, makes EXAPLAY 3 the ideal platform for interactive and synchronized installations.
- A major new feature is the real-time distortion of individual media elements directly on the timeline, providing unprecedented flexibility and allowing users to adjust content natively within EXAPLAY.
- Multi-user control and control widgets are included as standard, further enhancing EXAPLAY’s versatility and positioning it as a powerful and accessible media playback solution for modern audiovisual workflows.
Visitors to the stand were also able to enjoy a preview of what awaited them in 2026, including AI-based content generation for multi-screen setups and EXAPLAY Cloud, a cloud-based content distribution platform that will be available at the end of 2026.

Highly reliable media servers
To complement EXAPLAY’s playback software, visitors also had the opportunity to learn more about VIOSO’s hardware. The company presented its range of media servers, all custom-manufactured in Germany to ensure complete peace of mind and reliability.
From the ultra-compact dual-output Anystation Micro, ideal for digital signage applications, to the Anystation Media server, designed for the most complex projections, there is a VIOSO media server for virtually any application.
We were very much looking forward to this year’s trade show. We are known for our projector calibration software, but over the past few years we have been working behind the scenes to bring together all the components partners need to realize their visual experience.
