MIR Rimini 2026 hosted Avolites’ latest visual control solutions

The British manufacturer of lighting consoles and media servers Avolites took part in MIR Rimini (Italy) with its own space within the pavilion of Italian distributor Audio Effetti s.r.l., where it showcased its lighting control and integration systems, as well as visual solutions.

A strong presence at MIR highlighted the importance of this long-established event as a meeting point for the European entertainment technology community. Avolites’ participation reinforced its commitment to designing and delivering advanced visual control solutions, with a focus on its latest product ranges.

It also reflected the strength and relevance of the Italian market, as well as the interest surrounding the event, which attracted visitors from across Europe and other international destinations.

The Avolites section of the stand was spacious and showcased the new D-Series control console range —the D3—, an innovative concept that combines power, performance, and portability. The D3 consists of a family of five compact, streamlined, and fully featured systems.

These systems are designed and developed for a world in constant motion, with a fresh and innovative approach from Avolites, which has gained greater visibility and seen increased R&D investment since becoming part of A Robe Business at the end of 2023.

Smart design, robust engineering, and optimized sizing are at the core of the D3 series philosophy. The D3-010, D3-110, D3 Wing, D3 Core, and D3 Touch are powered by Avolites’ well-known Titan software, offering intuitive and cost-effective programming and operation, along with flexible control for multiple lighting solutions. In addition, Avo presented its D9 and D7 lighting consoles, as well as the versatile Q-Series media servers.

The media servers ran on both Prism and Ai software platforms, demonstrating the brand’s expertise in seamless and intuitive integration between lighting and other visual control systems to achieve full show control.

Moving lights, LED fixtures, and an LED screen were installed on the stand to demonstrate Avolites’ Synergy protocol in action, which synchronizes Titan-powered consoles with Ai media servers or Prism platforms. Visitors were able to interact directly and see how it worked in real time.

During the show, Avolites also highlighted its training and educational initiatives, while celebrating its 50th anniversary that year. This milestone marked five decades of supporting creativity and helping shape the style, aesthetics, and experience of lighting and visuals in live entertainment worldwide.

Founded in 1976, Avolites was built on a simple yet powerful idea: that creative people deserve tools that are fast, flexible, and designed for the real world of live performance, making the brand one of the most trusted names in professional lighting and media control.

Since 2023, Avolites has been part of A Robe Business, a move that has revitalized the brand and taken it into new stages of development with a wide range of high-value, user-friendly products suited to all types of productions, from intimate experimental theatre to the largest tours, festivals, and broadcast events.

At every stage of its journey, Avolites has focused on one thing: supporting the people behind the control desk.

Avolites’ European territory manager, Rogier Trok, was present at the stand alongside Mattia Paccaloni, Avo’s trainer in Italy, and the Audio Effetti team. MIR Rimini surpassed last year’s attendance and saw increased participation. The event served as a meeting point for industry professionals—both new and established—and facilitated the exchange of contacts, ideas, and projects. In addition, its timing coincided with the spring atmosphere of the coastal city of Rimini, providing a relaxed setting for the event.
