Ayrton chose PLASA Show 2023 for the official launch of its new Argo 6 devices with IP65 rating on September 5, 2023. Argo 6 FX was exhibited at Stand C11 by distributor Ambersphere Solutions, along with a variety of Ayrton LED products.
The products on display included the incredibly compact effects device Zonda 9, the Cobra with laser source, the Domino with IP65 rating, as well as the multifunctional Eurus profile, the ultra-compact Diablo, and the versatile Huracán Wash, among others. There was also a sneak peek of Ayrton's new Rivale profile, a 450W LED device with a luminous flux of 27,500 lumens, a 13:1 zoom ratio, and a zoom range of 4° to 52° that could produce an ultra-intense 4° beam with over 105,000 lux at 5 meters, similar to Ayrton's famous 'LT' versions.
ARGO 6 - Ayrton's First All-Weather Effects Device. Feel the Freedom!
For the first time in its history, Ayrton launched an all-weather effects device that offered creative potential both indoors and outdoors. Argo 6 featured a minimalist design that incorporated features for complete weather protection and easier internal access.
Compact and Lightweight
A new alloy compound, reduced thickness of parts, an optimized cooling system, a simplified lens guide, and the integration of low-density optical components allowed Ayrton to reduce the total weight by 20%. Meanwhile, the placement of the pan and tilt motors at the base and head of the device avoided the need to waterproof the yoke arms. A new submersible ventilation system in a non-waterproof compartment allowed for optimal cooling.
Available in Wash or FX versions, Argo 6 is equipped with 19 40W LEDs with additive RGB+W color synthesis that can provide a luminous flux of 13,000 lumens. Its 280mm front lens is designed to ensure optimal visibility. Argo 6 can achieve a highly intense beam with a 14:1 zoom ratio and a wide zoom range of 4° to 56°.
Argo 6 FX
Argo 6 FX is a fully equipped versatile device designed for a multitude of applications. It borrows the main features of the Wash version and offers continuous rotation of pan and tilt movements with I.R.S.TM. Argo 6 FX is equipped with a high-definition liquid effects system enhanced by a translucent honeycomb that can generate complex graphic effects called LiquidEffectTM.
Argo 6 Wash
For the first time, Ayrton provides individual control of the LEDs in the Argo 6 Wash version and adds a virtually infinite library of effects. Argo 6 Wash is a precise machine capable of achieving perfect color reproduction. A complete library of pre-programmed colors allows for the quick creation of subtle, dense, and contrasting areas of light. Its black honeycomb and perfect separation of light sources significantly increase the level of contrast.
Argo 6 Wash and Argo 6 FX can be used independently or in combination with the main LED array. By allowing greater precision and accuracy, they add a touch of creativity. Part of the Ayrton Multi Sources IP65 Series 6, Argo 6 allows the rediscovery of a new sense of pure freedom. The official Argo 6 launch video was published online on September 5, 2023.
Ayrton Premieres Rivale Profile
Ayrton also introduced Rivale Profile, a lighter and more versatile device weighing only 28 kg, designed to push boundaries and being Ayrton's most versatile device to date.
Equipped with a 160mm front lens and a new 450W high-efficiency LED module, calibrated at 6500K with a luminous flux of 27,500 lumens, Rivale Profile can produce an ultra-intense 4° beam with over 105,000 lux at 5 meters, similar to Ayrton's famous 'LT' versions, with a 13:1 zoom ratio and a zoom range of 4° to 52°.
A new progressive high-definition CMY color mixing system allows for perfect pastel color reproduction. A variable Minus Green channel and a carefully designed CTO channel optimize control, making it the perfect key light. A seven-position color wheel completes the palette of tools dedicated to creating colors. Combined with the new LED module, developed with a white point right on the black body curve, Rivale Profile is the most advanced subtractive color mixing profile available.
Rivale Profile is factory-equipped with a seven rotating gobo wheel, an eight fixed gobo wheel, a framing section that allowed precise positioning of each shutter blade on 100% of the surface with +/- 90° rotation, an iris diaphragm, a monochrome effect, two combinable rotating prisms, and two frost filters.
By using innovative materials and state-of-the-art technology, Ayrton reduced the weight of this device to allow it to achieve exceptional feats and offer exceptional performance. Developed for mixed indoor and outdoor use in all conditions, Rivale Profile has a unique visual signature that previews the style of the company's future lineup.

Women in Lighting
Continuing its support for the Women in Lighting project, Ayrton and its exclusive distributor in the UK, Ambersphere, supported a PLASA networking event for the second consecutive year. Invitations were extended to all women working in lighting and their supporters to meet and network at the PLASA Show.
