Claypaky returned once again to LDI to showcase its newly launched products, highlighting the company's high-end products for the entertainment industry. In addition to the showcased novelties and innovative technologies, it was also the first time at this trade show since the acquisition of Claypaky by ARRI.
These activities demonstrated that ARRI has become a prominent provider in lighting for both the film industry and live entertainment, offering a wide range of products that meet the customers' needs.
WORLDWIDE DEBUT – RHAPSODYA – is a high-power, low-noise, multispectral LED fixture designed for various applications such as theater, TV production, tours, and live events. It utilized a custom 1200W RGBAL LED engine, capable of generating 24,000 lumens. Unique features include ACCUFRAMETM, a framing system using two focal planes for better resolution and focus, TONEDOWNTM, ensuring quiet operation at just 27 dB, Absolute Position for advanced PAN & TILT control, LINEGUARD, a new freezing system using two pairs of blades for much greater beam uniformity and truly incremental adjustment of freezing levels, and the ColorMatch calibration function to match color temperatures with other devices using Claypaky CloudIO software. This technology provided consistency among a variety of devices used in production and the ability to store custom digital color filters on board.
Rhapsodya incorporated AccuTune, a sophisticated in-house developed firmware algorithm, for precise control over the beam in a multicolor LED engine, providing vibrant and rich colors, and balanced and consistent white optimized for both stage and television. COLORSTRING, a new system that allowed individual control of 4 independent LED strips within the engine for a high level of graphics and color effects.

FIRST TIME AT LDI – SKYLOS – the latest member of the laser family, is an ultra-versatile, all-weather device with incredible light output and outstanding construction features: much more than a simple classic reflector!
Skylos is highly appreciated in the touring sector, where lighting designers are constantly in search of dense and solid beams of light and increasing light output. It contains a custom 300W white laser light source, providing an extremely parallel and uniform beam. Given its light output and the size of the front lens, the body of this remarkable light is lightweight and compact. This allows the unit to move relatively easily in any environment and be mounted on trusses for touring use. Its body has an IP66 protection rating and is marine grade to ensure impeccable performance in saline environments, protecting the unit against corrosion. A sophisticated internal heat dissipation system designed specifically for this product allows it to work at very low temperatures, down to -40°C (-40°F), as well as very high temperatures, up to +45°C (+113°F), ensuring spectacular performance in all conditions. It is equipped with Solar Shield technology that protects the motor and internal components from damage caused by exposure to the sun.
Skylos is now also available in a tuned output version: Skylos NV, which is fully approved and does not require any FDA CDRH variation for use in the United States territory.

FIRST TIME AT LDI – AROLLA AQUA (Shield Family – IP66) is Claypaky's high-end all-weather luminaire. It is a true workhorse with an IP66 rating and technical and construction features that were unimaginable for this type of light. The challenge was to design a high-power and bright device with high-level performance while limiting weight and size. The dimensions are truly remarkable: less than 750 mm (30 inches) in height and only 38.5 kg (85.3 lbs) in weight, allowing for quick pan and tilt movements. Arolla Aqua has a custom 900W white LED light source (7000 K), capable of generating 40,000 lumens. This means it can compete with both high-power lights (given its output) and mid-range lights (given its small size and weight). Its uniform beam of light is another key feature. FIRST TIME AT LDI – MINI-B AQUA (Shield Family – IP66) was created to meet the high demand from lighting professionals looking for a weather-resistant, lightweight, compact, and agile mini-wash luminaire. It has an IP66 protection rating, making it suitable for all types of outdoor use. However, it is also ideal for indoor installations, as it does not require the same level of maintenance as ordinary IP20 luminaires thanks to the complete protection of its internal components against dust.
FIRST TIME AT LDI – MIDI-B FX arises from the innovative idea of adding eye-catching lighting effects to a mobile wash luminaire to create a device that can perform RGBW wash lighting and be used as part of the stage design. To achieve this, Claypaky has placed a long hat on top of the body of a Claypaky Midi-B and has positioned five parallel rings of LEDs around it, each of which can be controlled separately for a wide range of colors. This patent-pending technology allows dynamic and attractive color play, perfect for TV studio set designs and very useful for corporate and touring lighting. As a wash luminaire, the Midi-B FX has the same features as the Midi-B-FX with which it is fully compatible, including the optimized HD optical system, which provides bright and highly efficient output. Its zoom from 4° to 50° means it can be used in a wide variety of situations, and its 24-bit electronic dimmer provides five dimming curves, keeping colors balanced across the entire dimming range.
FIRST TIME AT LDI – ADB Actoris Profile FC is a 6-color ellipsoidal with advanced features, incorporating state-of-the-art software that gives it top-tier performance, especially in terms of color control. The light source is based on an RGBAL + ROYAL BLUE system, meaning any desired shade of color can be produced, including an incredible variety of pastel tones, with a CRI of up to 97. It has variable color temperature correction from 2500 K to 8000 K and perfect Planck curve CCT. The algorithm regulating the color control system is perfectly comparable to that of Claypaky Sinfonya Profile, as well as Rhapsodya, with advanced, standard, white, and single-channel modes. The Actoris Profile FC is a practical, intelligent, and modular tool: you can select the optical unit you prefer to match the luminaire: you can choose between a zoom of 15° to 30°, a zoom of 25° to 50°, and seven fixed lenses (5°, 10°, 14°, 19°, 26°, 36°, and 50°). The system is also compatible with other optical units.
