The National and International Nightlife Congresses will bring together the top figures in the industry on November 19 and 20 in Valencia to address and share the main challenges facing the sector.
The 10th International Nightlife Congress, held alongside the 5th National Nightlife Congress on November 19 and 20 in Valencia, will tackle, among other topics, the future of nightlife in a roundtable featuring The Night League CEO Yann Pissenem, AI expert and Audience Strategies director David Boyle, Sub Club Glasgow director and Nightlife Association of Scotland committee member Michael Grieve, and DJ and producer Uner.
This is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated debates of the congress, where industry challenges, future perspectives, and trends will be discussed. The panel will be moderated by UK Nightlife Association CEO and International Nightlife Association Vice President, Michael Kill.
Both congresses, held at the SH Valencia Palace Hotel, will gather the industry's top figures over two days, featuring nine roundtables discussing key issues impacting the nightlife sector. The 5th National Nightlife Congress will kick off on November 19 at 9:30 a.m., with four roundtables covering topics such as Security as a Pillar of Nightlife, Why DJ Performances Should Be Legally Considered Live Music, and The Importance of Nightlife for the Economy and Tourism. These conversations will be joined by Marketing and Branding: Key Aspects of Nightlife Promotion, featuring Medusa and Zevra Festival CEO Andreu Piqueras, DJ B Jones—the first Spanish DJ to perform on Tomorrowland’s main stage—Sutton Barcelona’s General Manager Robert Massanet, and Mustard Media director Robert Masterson as panelists, moderated by The Night League's press and communications manager Pat Quinteiro.
During this event, the Practical Guide to Fire Safety in Public Spaces will be presented, developed by Preventia and the Professional Association of Fire Technicians (APTB) in collaboration with Spain Nightlife. This document is designed to be accessible to both safety experts and venue owners with no advanced technical knowledge, including practical examples for various types of venues, from nightclubs to restaurants, and a simulation system that allows owners to anticipate how to respond in the event of a fire. It is the world’s first practical guide involving the nightlife sector and firefighters in its development, aiming to address common issues in fire prevention and shortcomings in the implementation of existing regulations.
Meanwhile, the 10th International Nightlife Congress, taking place on November 20, will feature five panels analyzing Ways to Promote Safety and Harmony in Nightlife, Nightlife and Culture: The Rise of Nightlife as a Cultural Phenomenon, Sustainability and Wellbeing as Guarantees of Quality in Nightlife, The Value of the Relationship Between DJs, Booking Managers, and Promoters, and The Future of Nightlife. The panel on Nightlife and Culture: The Rise of Nightlife as a Cultural Phenomenon will include Skiddle's Head of Festivals and Partnerships Duncan King, International Nightlife Association Middle East representative Hayan Abou Assali, Gay Times UK journalist Megan Wallace, and DJ and nightlife attorney Sunil Sharpe, moderated by Australian Nightlife Association (NTIA Australia) CEO Michael Gibb.
Golden Moon Awards
This event will conclude on the night of November 20 with the 9th edition of the Golden Moon Awards, where recognition will be given to nightlife venues, companies, and institutions that have made a significant contribution to the industry over the past year.

Yann Pissenem, CEO of The Night League, received the 2023 World's Best Club Golden Moon Award for Hï Ibiza, presented by Barcelona City Council’s Security Councillor, Albert Batlle.
