InfoComm 2026 reinforces AI as a driving force behind the transformation of the audiovisual industry

InfoComm 2026 welcomed 28,132 verified attendees from 94 countries, with international participation accounting for 20% of attendees and end users representing 37%. The total number of registered participants reached 35,707.

 

The event featured 807 exhibitors and 36,743 net square meters of exhibition space across the Las Vegas Convention Center, showcasing the latest technologies in audiovisual solutions, collaboration, retail, broadcasting, digital signage, AI-powered systems, workplace innovation, immersive experiences, and much more.

 

This year's edition of InfoComm was the most interactive and participatory event we have ever organized. From keynote presentations with live demonstrations and hands-on learning to immersive activations such as Smart Workplace, The Pitch, Retail Experience, and AVIXA TV, attendees did not just hear about the future of AV, IT, broadcasting, and AI. They experienced it firsthand, said Jenn Heinold, Senior Vice President of Expositions, Americas, at AVIXA, organizer of InfoComm.

A defining year for AI, work, and experience

Artificial intelligence emerged as one of the event's central themes, featured in keynote presentations, educational sessions, show floor experiences, and exhibitor demonstrations. Attendees explored how AI is being applied to workplace collaboration, content creation, customer engagement, enterprise communications, and operational efficiency.

The show featured four immersive environments that brought these trends to life:

  • Smart Workplace: Powered by FORTÉ, it demonstrated how integrated technologies, AI-enabled collaboration, workplace analytics, and enterprise communication systems are creating smarter and more connected workspaces.
  • The Pitch: Developed by Diversified, it showcased the convergence of sports, broadcasting, live events, and fan engagement technologies through a dynamic environment that included production workflows, collaborative spaces, premium hospitality experiences, and interactive audience participation.
  • Retail Experience: Created in collaboration with Bluesound Professional, BrightSign, Poppulo, and Samsung, it explored how AI, digital signage, content strategies, and connected systems are transforming customer engagement and in-store experiences, demonstrating how brands are leveraging immersive experiences, personalized content, and more engaging customer journeys.
  • AVIXA TV: Turned the show floor into a fully operational television studio, showcasing live production workflows, content creation, and industry discussions while giving attendees practical insight into the technologies and techniques driving today's broadcasting and media environments.

 

Keynotes highlight the future

During Wednesday's opening keynote, Ilya Bukshteyn, Corporate Vice President for Teams Calling, Meetings and Devices at Microsoft, presented Microsoft's vision for AI-powered communication and collaboration. He highlighted new voice agents for Microsoft Teams Phone, enhanced capabilities for Teams Rooms, AI-based meeting experiences, and new collaborative tools designed to create more connected, productive, and inclusive work environments.

The presentation demonstrated how Microsoft's growing AI ecosystem helps organizations automate routine tasks, improve hybrid collaboration, and enable employees to focus on higher-value activities.

In Thursday's keynote, Espen Løberg, Vice President and General Manager of Collaboration Devices at Cisco, shared the company's vision of Connected Intelligence, where AI-powered collaboration technologies seamlessly connect people, spaces, and objectives.

Through innovations such as the AI-based Director Agent and the Distance Zero concept, Løberg demonstrated how intelligent systems and open collaboration ecosystems are transforming hybrid work by creating more immersive, productive, and equitable experiences across platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom.

The traditional AVIXA Women's Breakfast brought together hundreds of attendees and featured Mariana Atencio, Peabody Award-winning journalist, entrepreneur, and bestselling author, who delivered the presentation Real Matters: Building Trust in an Unreal World, focused on authenticity, leadership, and trust in the age of AI.

 

Media day makes its debut

InfoComm 2026 introduced its first-ever Media Day, offering attending journalists and analysts guided tours of the show's major announcements and innovations.

The Future of Work and Future of Experience tours brought together leading exhibitors showcasing new technologies, strategic partnerships, and product launches in areas such as enterprise collaboration, broadcasting, live events, and immersive experiences.

Accredited media attendance increased by 35% compared to the previous edition.

 

Education and strategic insights for the industry

The InfoComm 2026 educational program featured more than 300 sessions dedicated to AI, workplace technology, AV for broadcasting, digital signage, enterprise IT, collaboration, experience design, and integrated systems.

New highlights included the AI Accelerator, Vision Stage programming, Spotlight Stage presentations, and various expert-led discussions on the future of the industry.

Attendees also participated in specialized experiences such as the Future Workplace and Future Retail tours, the Broadcast AV Tour, and the Integrated Experience Tours, which showcased real-world applications of audiovisual technology in different venues throughout Las Vegas.

In addition, InfoComm 2026 brought together industry media and analysts for exclusive briefing sessions where AVIXA presented market intelligence and research, alongside a dedicated Microsoft session focused on the future of AI-powered collaboration and workplace technologies.

These discussions examined the trends driving growth in the audiovisual industry, including AI, workplace transformation, convergence with broadcasting, and new opportunities for technology providers and end users.

 

Networking and professional development

Throughout the week, attendees took part in networking events, certification exams, professional community gatherings, and industry discussions designed to foster collaboration and accelerate innovation within the audiovisual ecosystem.

Many professionals completed examinations to earn the Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) and Audiovisual Network Professional (ANP) certifications.

A total of 129 attendees earned CTS certification during the show:

  • 74 achieved CTS certification.
  • 24 earned CTS-D (Design).
  • 13 earned CTS-I (Installation).

 

The total number of CTS-certified professionals now exceeds 15,800. In addition, 18 attendees earned the Audiovisual Network Professional (ANP) certification, bringing the total number of ANP-certified professionals to 389.

 

Looking ahead to InfoComm 2027

InfoComm 2026 also served as the launch platform for RESIDE, a new event focused on the residential integration market that will debut alongside Lightapalooza during InfoComm 2027.

 

Developed through a partnership between AVIXA, HTSA, and ProSource, the event highlights the growing convergence between residential and commercial audiovisual technologies, as well as the business opportunities emerging across both markets.
