July 12 — Santillaland: alternative bands, free admission and… router-throwing!
With this unparalleled credential, Santillaland once again fills the surroundings of the historic and charming village of Lerma with alternative music—and does so with an irresistible invitation: free entry!
Just 4 km away, the tiny hamlet of Santillán del Agua—home to only 20 residents—has revolutionized the summer festival scene with its fresh lineup (Sexy Zebras, El Nido, Lobocordero) and its parallel cultural and protest activities. In 2023 they launched the picturesque 1st National Router-Throwing Championship as a symbolic protest against the lack of internet in the area, an event that is now an essential part of the festival program.
To top it off, two exceptional headliners: Galician singer-songwriter Luis Fercán, with his raspy voice and emotionally charged lyrics, and Nacho Mur—the guitarist of La M.O.D.A. (La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol). Emotion guaranteed.

July 17–20 — TrespaRock: rebellious rock in Las Merindades
In a corner of the north where Burgos, the Basque Country and Cantabria intertwine among mountains, meadows and rivers, the capital of alternative rock is born.
Trespaderne, in the heart of Las Merindades, hosts TrespaRock: an unstoppable festival that combines thunderous guitars, combative lyrics and generational anthems sung at the top of your lungs, all in an energetic, contagious atmosphere.

For several days, locals and visitors vibrate until dawn: punk legends raise their drinks with their fans while emerging bands explode on stage before a devoted audience. Here you jump, you laugh, you share and you live the music so close you feel it in every heartbeat. This year’s lineup features Biznaga, Kaos Etiliko, Manolo Kabezabolo, The Eskarallas, Vómito, Nervio, Dinamita, Bihotza, The Erections, Los del Humo, Txarangazo and Diegovisión, promising an unforgettable experience for all rock lovers.
July 25–26 — Pollogómez Folk: art, folk and chicken wings in empty Spain
Artists, music and fried chicken come together in the depopulated Spain with a unique formula: this is how Pollogómez Folk celebrates its sixteen years of success, now established as the place to be each summer.
This singular festival takes place in Villangómez, a small municipality in the Arlanza region that was once the largest poultry producer in Castile and León. Hence its name and tastiest tradition: each edition roasts 1,000 kg of chicken wings, enjoyed by attendees between concerts or strolling among its unmistakable street art. Fifty murals adorn the façades, transforming the village into a true Rural Art Museum (RAM), driven by the mural contest held during the festival.

August 1–2 — Alpaka Fest: indie music hugging trees
In the very heart of the Sierra de la Demanda, the tiny village of Hacinas has become a true hive of activity… despite its usual silence and tranquility. Famous for its unique fossilized tree trunks and rustic charm, it has also stood out for the past three years thanks to Alpaka Fest. True to its name, this festival weaves the local with the exotic, tradition with avant-garde, vintage with alternative. Its program, as varied as it is enticing, combines traditional dances, regional products and old crafts with the freshest musical offerings; Ítaca Band, El Nido and Ultraligera are already confirmed for 2025.
The surroundings enhance the experience: surrounded by mountains and forests, Hacinas is perfect for pitching a tent, exploring its fossils on foot and, why not, merging with nature by hugging trees… many trees. You can also embrace silence, freedom and the warmth of its hospitable people, who make this festival both intimate and grand. A breath of fresh air in the festival scene: small in size, but enormous in charm.
August 29–30 — Festivalle Tobalina: pompadours among the woods
If you’re nostalgic, a music lover, a die-hard rocker or simply curious, this will captivate you. Every August, Quintana Martín Galíndez—a picturesque Burgos village—revives rock’s golden era: towering pompadours, leather jackets and powerful riffs fill its open-air streets, with mountains as the backdrop. Here legends like Daddy Long Legs and Nine Pound Hammer have played, and cult international bands find it a setting as unusual as it is irresistible.
But what truly sets Festivalle Tobalina apart is its atmosphere: community barbecues by the Ebro, open-air bars with conversations that stretch until dawn, and the gentle murmur of the river accompanying every guitar solo. It’s a true time capsule: a weekend to experience rock with the authenticity of yesteryear, in a corner of Burgos where music and landscape compete in beauty.
