Funktion-One has announced the appointment of a new distributor to drive its expansion in the growing Central Asian market. The new entity, Funktion-One Central Aziya, combines the technical expertise of veteran sound engineer Andrey Kremenchugskiy with the regional business development knowledge of Askar Salikhbaev.
With a career spanning more than two decades, Kremenchugskiy brings a strong connection with Funktion-One to the new venture.
I have been working with Funktion-One systems for almost 25 years. I share the company’s philosophy and their support has always been first-class. I love how Funktion-One loudspeakers sound, says Kremenchugskiy.
The distribution partnership will focus on Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The region is experiencing steady development, with growing demand for reliable, high-quality technical infrastructure across various sectors. This is reflected in recent projects, such as a Funktion-One installation at the Humo Ice Dome in Tashkent.
“Demand for new technologies, including high-quality professional sound systems, is increasing”, explains Kremenchugskiy. “We are seeing opportunities across different segments—from government-backed projects such as sports venues to clubs, restaurants and home studios. Fortunately, Funktion-One offers excellent solutions for all these applications”.
Funktion-One Director of Sales Andrew Low welcomed the partnership: we are delighted to be working again with Andrey and his team. Having collaborated on several standout projects over the past 20 years, we know his technical standards are exceptional. Askar’s knowledge of the local market will be key as we explore these regions.
Funktion-One Central Aziya is currently in the early stages of discussions with several landmark projects across the region.
