The 2026 Copa del Rey final was a special occasion for thousands of Real Sociedad supporters, who gathered in the club’s fan zone to enjoy a full schedule of activities ahead of the match.
To ensure the event delivered the highest technical standards, Proaudio Granada was entrusted with designing and implementing the venue’s sound system.
The installation needed to meet the demands of a large-scale event, with a significant number of attendees and a program that combined music, entertainment, live presentations, and a variety of audiovisual content throughout the day. In this context, uniform coverage and intelligibility were key factors in ensuring a satisfactory experience for all attendees.
The main system was based on Meyer Sound technology, comprising 24 PANTHER loudspeakers and 12 2100-LFC subwoofers. This combination provided consistent coverage across the venue, maintaining a balanced response both in areas closest to the stage and at the furthest points of the site.
The deployment was complemented by eight ULTRA-X40 loudspeakers, used as reinforcement to optimize coverage in specific areas and ensure that content reached attendees with maximum clarity. Using systems from the same product family helped maintain sonic consistency throughout the installation.
Signal management and event mixing were handled via DiGiCo consoles, a common choice for large-scale productions thanks to their processing capabilities and operational flexibility. Stage monitoring was provided by ten Meyer Sound MJF-210 monitors, offering accurate reference sound for presenters, performers, and guests participating in the various activities throughout the day.
Beyond the system specifications, one of the main challenges was maintaining adequate sound pressure levels without compromising the clarity of announcements and spoken content. The fan zone had to function both as an entertainment area and as a gathering point for club supporters, requiring the sound system to adapt to very different situations throughout the event.
With this project, Proaudio Granada once again demonstrated its expertise in developing audio infrastructures for large-attendance events, relying on a configuration capable of meeting the demands of a top-level occasion. The result was a solid and reliable system that accompanied thousands of Real Sociedad fans during one of the most significant days of the football season.
